Desh-Terenthium
Bandorium coating

SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Holocamera
  • Microphone
  • Holprojector
  • Limited Internal Memory
  • Voice Recognition
  • Comm-link

Strengths:
  • Discreet - This little recording device can be worn as an earing set, with one cuff and a smaller piece, its subtlety combined with the sensor resisting Banorium, makes it easy to wear every day and hard for people to spot, unless they know what they're looking for.
  • Voice Control - The wearer can choose when and where to start recording to prevent wasting the internal memory on things that might be considered useless. The user can chose simple phrases such as ‘begin recording’ or programme in unique code words for the device to pick up.

Weaknesses:
  • Limited Internal Memory - the device can only store 12 hours worth of recordings, before it needs to be wiped. Daily downloads are required
  • Easily destroyed - while able to withstand a blow should the cuff be attached to a user, once separate, a heavy boot can break it easily, and with it the recordings stored on the device.

DESCRIPTION

Simone’s time as a reporter and also as an agent for the underground has enforced the importance of having reliable information to go back on. She understands that often, viewpoints can become distorted in the heat of the moment and the ability to look back at them can help clarify things and allow further assessment.

The PPV is worn in two parts, the ear cuff that contains the holoprojector, camera and and the smaller stud that holds the comm-link and microphone both have memory enough for 12 hours of images (cuff) or twelve hours of voice recordings (stud) . The device allows the user to record up to twelve hours of data at their discretion and also play it back. The holoprojector protects a vid screen directly across the user’s eyes giving them an immersive view of the recording allowing them to see things that they perhaps didn’t at the time.

The ear cuff can be worn without the stud, and vice versa but this obviously limits the user to only image or sound recording. Named the PPV or Personal Privacy Violator, this device has many ethical issues attached to its use, but if they don’t know...then what’s the harm?
