Description
The Port Authority B.O.O.T. — Bridge Of Orbital Tethering — is a compact gravitic enforcement device designed to halt unauthorized departures and secure evasive craft. Upon impact, the harpoon anchors the unit to the target hull and deploys a magnetic clamp assembly. Once engaged, the internal gravitic projector emits a localized mass-shadow distortion, interfering with hyperspace calculations and destabilizing repulsor-assisted launch attempts. Simultaneously, an encrypted telemetry beacon activates, transmitting location data to authorized receivers. The B.O.O.T. is not intended for large-scale interdiction. Rather, it functions as a tactical immobilizer — a precise, temporary anchor ensuring that a vessel remains exactly where it is until authorities, retrieval teams, or less patient parties arrive. Several can be launched one after another about 5 per load. |
