Politics

Arnok hated politics. He hated the way it permeated every facet of life. He had joined a faction only because he knew he had to, it was advantageous to his company. So he pretended he agreed with their goals, and secretly despised them. He had allowed himself a little vacation after a particularly big sale. A few days in Cloud City. What could go wrong?

Apparently, a lot. Which was why he now running through the halls of the city. Some kind of strange faction had invaded, and were rounding up the citizens. There were a few bodies on the floor he had to dodge, and he tried not to think about their fate.

Arnok debated whether he should go up or down. Up was where the shuttles were, but that's also where they were sure to have landed. It would probably be heavily guarded. Down would probably be less guarded, but there was no escape from down there. Still, there were 392 levels in Cloud City. Surely these invaders wouldn't have enough people to check every single level. Or at least he hoped not.

So he headed down.

TWD-73 had heard a lot about cloud city. That was why he was visiting it. As his ship landed, he saw some strangely dressed men with firearms at their sides. 'Weird' He thought to himself. The men then turned towards his ship, and began firing. Outraged that these men were trying to damage his ship, TWD quickly landed, and returned fire with his trusty laser rifle.

John had finalized it. After months of hard work, he wanted a break. He couldn't decide whether to continue or not, as he was hot on the trail of something big. After about a week of debating, he decided to travel to cloud city for a week. He took a rental, and flew over. He noticed lots of guards rounding people up, and decided to land somewhere else. John landed in an area where no one was, and got out. He looked around a little, and pulled out his Flechette pistol. He ran up a walkway until he saw a shadow.

After defeating the odd soldiers, TWD walked through a hallway. Looking at the beautiful surroundings, TWD-73 didn't notice someone rounding a corner, and came face to face with a human. Not dressed like the soldiers he saw, TWD assumed he was a visitor. "Hello" The old droid said to the man. "Who are you?"

"A pleasure to meet you, General Kranston. I do know that these... These... These guards of some sort are very hostile. Would you enjoy working together to find out what is going on here?

"Doesn't look like we have much of a choice". John looks around a little, then flips a switch on his radio pouch. "Hector, hello, Hector. Come in Hector. Hector! We need help. I'm trapped in cloud city with a droid. Come in Hector!" John gets a little angry, and flips off his radio. "Looks like they jammed the radios. If we can get to an electrical source that's connected to an antenna, I can send out a signal from there.

"We need to find a control room of some sort, so I can download the map to this place." Said TWD. "Another thing, you can call me Tweed, if you like." TWD started walking around, blaster in hand.

John followed tweed for a while, until he saw a locked iron door with an astromech Droid standing next to it. "Tweed, look at that droid, its standing near that iron door with a key card slot next to it. I bet that droid can open the door. We should take a look inside.

"Yes, that sounds logical." TWD stated. TWD walked up towards the astromech, an R4 series, and and did some binary beeps. The robot replied, and TWD said to John, "The droid said we won't let us in." TWD then made some more beeps, and the astromech shook and made some scared beeps. It then produced a keycard, which TWD took and put into the door's security panel.

The metal door then opened, revealing a large room, with many monitors and buttons.
