Vyr'ar

Emperor of the Unknown
The Hegemony is fundamentally an authoritarian state, the Gryzar rules with an iron fist and his rule is unquestionable lest they wish to see how the Grysk deal with dissidents: which is always bloody, cruel, and vicious. But one man can not lead the Hegemony, whilst his authority is absolute there are various other institutions of the state that all assist in allowing the Hegemony to operate smoothly and in some degree of efficiency.

Cleansers of Corruption

Suffering from their name being in “Old Grysk” as they call it, the Cleansers of Corruption are commonly just referred to as “Grysk Intelligence” in these times where the Grysk have had some wider interaction with the wider interaction with the Galaxy. The secret police and intelligence agency of the Grysk, only the most ruthless are allowed to join into Intelligence as they must be readily willing to assassinate and consign entire populations to extermination if they are deemed dangerous enough to the Order within the Hegemony. Able to use exotic and cruel weapons, and anything else that is deemed necessary to performing their mission with maximum efficiency.

Intelligence answers to purely the Gryzar himself and the Mek’hisa, the leader of the Cleansers. Otherwise they are widely considered to be outside the realm of command and operate within their own missions, and to interfere with the mission of a cleanser is to welcome death.

Purveyors of the Word

The new diplomats of the Hegemony, the Purveyors have been established within the past decade and still are widely controversial. But they are the will of the Hegemony sent out to the void, and allow for the existence of new vassal states: they are considered shameful by those more traditional Grysk, they bring planet’s into submission not by violent force by word of mouth, to teach them that to be vassalized under the Hegemony is the best course of action.

They are lead by the Grand Vizier, and whilst not numbering many they are grossly appreciated by the Gryzar and that is a powerful ally to have when living in Grysk space. And as if not to spite the older generations and cultural normalities of the Grysk even further, there is a ready acceptance of alien races into the folds of the Purveyors: so long as they can bring something into compliance beforehand.

Lords of the Hegemony

As a way to break up the rulership of the Hegemony and it’s worlds various rulers are set up so as to continue the enforcement of the unshakable rule of the Hegemony: of course, not to say sometimes enforcement slips for a little bit of bloody politicking.

The rankings of Lords and Ladies is quite simple, at the top is the Sector Lords who are given command of entire sectors of space, underneath them are the individual system lords, and underneath them are the planetary lords. The progression of planetary rulership much more simple than that of many other governments in the Galaxy.
