Playing the Game (Ruby Wilded)

Twas a job like any other. Find the son of a gun, get him to pay what he owed. If he didn't, shove him around, still nothing? Fine, break a few fingers, maybe a leg?

Things had devolved past that stage with the rodian still refusing to pay. Which is what had lead Vincente to shoot him point black in the knee cap, the roadian crumbling to the floor in pain. Blood was getting everywhere, including Vincente's expensive coat, and it was making him more upset by the minute

Shaking his head he pressed the barrel of the scattergun to the Rodian's head "Last chance dirtbag, tell me where the credits, or the spice is, or you're dead. I'm not playing around"

Ruby was out on the town. Not that she'd been a club goer. Rather she was looking for something to sate her sweet tooth. The girl had a fondness for candy. Tonight though she wasn't going to find what she wanted. It was going to be unsavory.

A loud shot off close by alerted her to something going down. It wasn't anything good she'd want to be getting involved with. The night was young though and maybe it wasn't candy but blood she was hunting for. Ruby took off in the direction of the shot. It didn't take her long to track down where all this commotion happened. A man was leaning over a Rodian by the looks of it. A gun was to the poor aliens head. The gun toter spewed something out but all she caught was the word credits and spice. Clearly these two were in the drug trade. She could use some of those to fund her fun. Ruby drew out her sword, she didn't need a gun to fight a gun wielder. She was a mostly trained assassin. Plenty good enough to rob the robbers.

Ruby strolled up behind [member="Vincente Aulisi"]. Quiet as a cat. She stuck her blade between his silvery hair enough for it to peek out into his sight. "I hear you're talking credits. Either we can work a job out or I can always just relieve you of anything valuable on you. There's a few pawn shops around who will take most anything. What do you say scary man? Or do you think you can outpace my blade"?

A deep chuckle would escape the pale haired man. Someone had had the audacity to try and mug him, why, it was almost delightful in it's own way. He raised his hands slowly turning to her, casually kicking the rodian in the back of the head as he did so.

He looked the girl up and down and smirked "Always the unassuming ones that are the most dangerous. I'd offer polite introduction, but you seem to have me at a disadvantage" He chuckled again, more softly this time as he studied her. He could get out of this situation, or atleast, even the odds, though such an attempt would most likely lead to both of their death's.

"And what exactly did you have in mind? Little Red. And I should warn you, make it worth my time. I've been crossed by far worse than you and lived to tell the tale. You might kill me, but I promise, you'll be going down with me" He promised her with a wave of his right hand

"Oh, your a funny man now. I like you. See, I just want some credits to have some fun". Ruby smiled away. He might think her crazy. Maybe, she was facing troubling thoughts from recent events. She was quite sane still. Just off. "All this talk of money and spice. Holding guns to folks heads. It gives the impression you need to recover something. I can be of help. Lets say I'm a contractor in the killing business. With that comes skills I've been taught. So I think I can be of use getting back what's yours. Provided you pay of course. So what do you say"?

"Well, I'd say that you're quite the forward little thing aren't you? I could also say I have this well in hand but, It was never really about the credits. The bastad here is dead anyways, so that hardly matters. I could always use an extra tool in my arsenal however, that is where you might come in. Now why don't you drop the glow stick before We're forced to do something you'll regret hmm?"

He asked with casual, rogueish calm. The kind that could put anyone at ease really, the kind that spells both friendship and good times, as well and trouble and pain at the exact same time. He curled the fingers of one of his hands into a fist, then pointed behind and above her, where his Pet Akk hound hovered on a small ledge just behind her

"Now we're getting somewhere". Ruby pulled her sword away from [member="Vincente Aulisi"]'s neck and sheathed it safely. Vincente pointed up and behind her. She didn't need to be told though. She could feel its threatening presence quite well. "I know. My names Ruby by the way. Can I ask yours now that we're not going to kill each other"? Introductions, important to any business dealings Ruby figured. Not like calling him funny man all the time wouldn't be, well, fun.

Vincente wistled sharply twice and the akk hound gracefully leapt down to move to his side, he reached down and scratched it behind the....ears? Always hard to say with the reptomammals. "Now then, why don't we move this somewhere altogether more pleasant? I'm partial to a drink now actually" He mused out loud, not waiting for a reply as he headed toward a nearby cafe, not exactly bothering to hide the blood splattered across his clothing. People would stumble out of the way in a most amusing way, to vincente atleast. He enjoyed causing this sort of social scene
