Play For Keeps (Raid on New Holstice)

Along the busy walkways and streets of New Holstice, the skyways bustled and churned as vehicles sped this way and that through the air. Speeders dashed along while larger, heavier commercial vehicles barreled by. Here and there some vehicles jockeyed for position causing a bit of a shift in the traffic lines as impatient drivers tried to get that extra speeder-length ahead of the pack.

Agnusdei took the jostling of the speeder-van in stride as the driver shifted to avoid yet another speed demon. He'd obtained the vehicle quite easily upon his arrival on planet for a sum of paltry credits, something that all underworld networks across the galaxy seemed all too keen to snap up. The individuals taking up the space of the van's rear compartment, however, would take more than a paltry sum of monetary denomination.

"The details, as I promised," the doctor stated simply, his clipped accent clearly heard despite the beaked mask he wore. He removed a device from a pocket and keyed it, the hologram of the research storage facility flickering to life in the small compartment.

"The items I desire are on floors two and five. I care not who achieves those goals as long as they are completed," he thumbed the device and it narrowed in on the two sections. "Floor two will hold a series of canisters measuring from floor to ceiling. They will have bright red markings on the sides and should be bolted to the floor. I require samples from the contained fluid. The Fifth floor will have smaller canisters locked away, presumably behind security doors. They are more portable, carried by one or two individuals. I require one of the canisters. Both contain fluids that are highly toxic and corrosive, please exercise caution. Security should be light, though if we overstay our welcome I expect heavier elements to arrive."

The van shifted as it peeled from the skylane and headed directly towards the target in question. As the facility loomed ahead and the vehicle began accelerating heavily, Agnusdei thumbed the device off and tucked it away.

"Any questions?"

Crouched into the corner of Agnusdei's van, the hooded female Human kept to herself. Whilst her presence had been known to the dear Doctor and the other individuals that had crammed inside the vehicle for his operation, she had mostly stayed quiet, other than the initial greeting she had made to announce who she was and why she was there. When it became obvious that she was one of the few mercenary that Agnusdei had hired, she had climbed aboard and hadn't said a word since, maintaining a cold demeanor that made it difficult for others to strike up conversation. It suited her perfectly, as the less she had to say to Doctor Agnusdei and the others, the better.

The identity that Darth Ayra had struck up for the entire affair was a woman, age unknown but presumably in her late twenties (based entirely on her build and looks) and a Dark Jedi who was looking to put their Force sensitive talents to use. In the modern era, many Force sensitives traversed the stars, with many slipping through the cracks of the Jedi and Sith, with both Orders losing the means to which they had recruited those who had talent in the Force into their ranks, following the Four Hundred Year Darkness. Whilst some had eventually found their way into the ranks of the Jedi Order or Sith Empire, those who had not fell under the pseudonym of Dark Jedi, an individual who neither fit into the classification of Jedi or Sith, who usually put their talents towards self gain and preservation, rather than the narrow, simplistic views of the Jedi or the bold, enigmatic scope of the Sith.

Bearing the name Vhette, the Sith Lord had answered the plea of the good Doctor and signed herself up to his team. Thus, posing as a Dark Jedi, Darth Ayra listened attentively to Agnusdei, as he explained the details of the operation, where to strike and what they were looking for. The entire matter seemed beneath the powers of an individual such as herself, but Ayra knew better. As she had integrated herself into the business and corporate markets under the guise of her old name, joining the inner circles of smugglers, criminals and those honoured with the distinction of crime lord, Alicia Drey could not be revealed as a Force sensitive, as it did not fit into the vision that the Sith had conjured for herself.

But as Vhette, Darth Ayra was free to use her abilities to bury herself deeper into the criminal underworld, furthering her knowledge of those individuals worth her attention. Doctor Agnusdei had gained her attention and the New Holstice job that she had been given allowed her to observe him in action, getting to know more about him and to see if he could become apart of her plans. Whilst she would never allow the good Doctor to fully understand- if he proved himself worthy- of who she really was and her intentions for their relationship, at least for the moment, he had a fully fledged Sith Lord at his disposal, even if he wasn't aware of it.

"Any questions?"

As Agnusdei asked the question, Vhette brushed her hand against the pommel of her lightsaber as a final check. Armed with it and the power of the dark side, it was all that she needed to know. Remaining ever silent in the corner of the van, she folded her arms across her chest, focusing intently on Agnusdei whilst waiting for the rest of the team to get ready.

As a precautionary measure, Vhette had been subtle with her powers thus far, hiding the bulk of her powers away from any other Force sensitives that Agnusdei might have recruited for the team. Whilst the dark side could be sensed in her, it was a mere fraction in comparison to the tremor that Darth Ayra could create via her very presence in the Force. The cowl of her dark robe, drawn over her head, concealed most of her facial features. Mysterious, stoic and silent, Vhette appeared small beside the others and that also suited her fine.

Better to be underestimated than overestimated, she thought to herself silently.

Nyla Crow

Friendly Neighborhood Edgelady
The young Acolyte of the Dark was quiet and still as her employer explained the task at hand; partly because she was paying attention, but also because she was preparing to meditate.

The meditation of the Sith was often an odd thing, to many people; whereas most traditions and religions viewed meditation as a way to clear the mind of emotion, Nyla, like many Sith, used it as a chance to focus her emotions. In her hands, she held a small, flawed Blackwing Crystal, the size and quality often found in the less than impressive Lightfoils, pale imitations of true lightsabers. The Crystal helped her focus, gave her something to visualize. It was black, smoky and ashy, and reminded her of hatred; calm, cool and collected. The words of the Code of the Sith escaped her lips, beneath her breath and barely audible; although anyone who was familiar with the Code would likely be able to fill in the blanks, using what few words were spoken loud enough to hear.

As she meditated, Nyla pondered the reasons that she, under the pseudonym "Corvida," had signed up for this operation. Like many young Sith, she was eager and willing to prove her power, or better yet, to expand it. This was an excellent opportunity to do both. Material Gain was a motivator, admittedly, but moreso was the opportunity to make connections.

And as she felt out with the Force, her mind brushing against the Dark Jedi Vhette's presence, she smiled coldly. Another newcomer to the Darkness; not quite as strong as Nyla, it seemed, but the Dark Jedi's aura had a more collected, refined feeling to it than the powerful, but ultimately chaotic and unruly, presence Nyla exuded. Someone she could learn from.

Or, if not that, then at least a useful tool.

She shook her head as the good Doctor called for questions, and returned the Crystal in her hands to its proper place within her weapon.

The fun was starting soon, it appeared.

Allow me to reintroduce myself
The Shi'ido also kept to herself, deciding to change her form into her favorite one, but with wolf ears. Stealth wasn't her forte, but she would do her best. Casca did a quick check on her blaster before looking around at her companions, finding the mumbling one especially interesting for she could make out a few words, but they made no sense to her. She listened to the briefing, even if she didn't look like she was as she played around with her holopad. When [member="Doctor Agnusdei"] asked if there were any questions, she looked up, her dark brown eyes questioning.

"Only two from myself; one, just how bad is it if we get some of the.. whatever we're taking samples of, on anything, and two, is it bad if I shoot someone?"
