The Plate of Dread was made by Ari Zannareth in a dark and lifeless place below the surface of Telos. There she sacrificed five lives, mixing durasteel with blood and recasting the ingots into an intricate plate. A dread enchantment was added, Sapphires melted in, along with silver and Electrum lining. The face of the armor contains an opened mouth face. Those who gaze upon the face, or come within arms length of the plate will begin to feel a general sense of unease; spanning from anxiety to full blown reliving of their worst nightmares.
In addition the hardening of the steel through alchemical means has given it high resistance to lightsabers, though less so to kinetic force.
