VOSS GARDENS

The smell of beautiful flowers and growing flora wafted through the air, easing the minds of those that meditated in the gardens. It was quite the sight; Gorgeous plants from all across the galaxy were planted here, each one adding it's own scent to the collage of incense. Some were more beautiful than others, some smelled terrific, others glowed with an inner light. Padawan Oluja's favorite plant, however, was grasped in his stubby hands, yet to be planted.

He had no idea what it was called. He had overheard some Nal Hutta merchant call them 'the brown ones'. Suffice to say, the merchant wasn't very helpful.

The little speckled flower was in a perpetual state of wilting. It was brown, and always reeked of composting greenery. One could see why a Hutt would like it so much.

Tyyni had always loved flowers. Their different colors made them all unique, and what one may find ugly, another may find beauty. What a great metaphor. The Hutt Padawan slid along the dirt path, feeling each grain under his body, as he admired each plant's swooping leaves, vibrant petals, or verdant stem, looking for the perfect place to place his plant.

(set some time before Naadi is taken as a padawan by Ryn Dal ?)

It had been a long while since Naadi had more or less become a senior gardener of the temple, and so she entertained herself with tending to the plants and other things of one garden area or another. She had just finished up with planting adozen small fruiting tree-flowers around the garden, of which the fruits would glow at night, causing there to be wondrous ambient light in the garden, the sort of thing that sparked imagination.

Well, this was an unusual sight; a Huttese Jedi. Bending an ear down in mildly morbid curiosity, Naadi approached him, her tail lightly swaying to and fro, and a smile on her face. "Greetings, Large one. How may i help you ?" she said, recalling some factoid or another that she read in a book, that Hutts liked to be complimented on their size. Naadi and this smaller Hutt, looked to be about equal in size. Naadi of course, being somewhat bipedal, stood taller. Her smudged blue pants and top, and dirt streaked fur, would likely tell him that she was the resident gardener and groundskeeper.
