Planet/Species build

So, I caught the bug of Codex the other day.
And I was thinking of a concept, plus talking with Adam gave me some inspiration.

Would anyone be interested in helping build a really complex species out on the Galactic Rim? A world undiscovered but full of crazy.

I'm kind of got some ideas in my head, but...

A multi-climate world, with its own variety of sentient species.

Sort of Pandora (Avatar) meets Zerus (Starcraft).

I've got in my head a few species too, an insectoid species (based on Collectors, warriors, reinforced carapace, etc), and then an idea on an aquatic species, but more... cephalopod than humanoid. High intelligence, adaptable. The basic idea is species that have a high exploitability in the greater galaxy

And for the IC aspects of it, the Levantines/some random explorer stumble on this world, previously untouched. Then it goes from there, do we introduce ourselves? Do we leave them be and protect them from outsiders? Can we modify their genetics from afar and influence their evolution?

Just a concept, looking for two cents, four cents, and whole dollars worth of opinions.

I would! :)

I wanted to dev a world that had changing light on its surface depending on continent, so you could have a blue atmosphere in one part, green in one, and purple in another. This would explain the differences in exotic wildlife for example, it also means you can have those differences in the thread, and storytelling for flavor.

I had a few ideas on doing this, like a nebular that hid it from view, but certain light (force based lightening or charges) lit the nebular up to give the planet certain colors, and allow light to reach it, or the nebular refracted the sun's light to color the planet depending on which part was rotated to which part of the nebula.

This could also be done with nearby planetary bodies or the atmosphere itself being different in different locales. It could mean you get to play out a heck of a sunset between the two :)

As I mentioned in chat the one thing I really need is to have a race, dead or otherwise that had a language which shapes the race itself, so when they alter vowels for example, they'd be altering parts of themselves when communicating - if you don't mind my Sith turning up to visit and study it.

So, i got swamped at work and muse for characters picked up.
But I was wondering if we want to start brainstorming the world/species before making actual subs for it. I was thinking a multi-climate world, to give us a lot of lee-way with planets obviously.

But for species, and the planet history, I've kind of got some ideas, and was thinking on the lines of an amphibious species, insectoid species, and reptile/avian. Maybe there is history of settlers from human/a mammalian species? Remains, ruins, treasure, evil undead mummies who want nothing more than to control the sands?
