Phrik: One

Matreya sighed, as a means to avoid a yawn, while drawing his hood closer to his face to block the rays of the sunlight as it passed through the view port next to himself. Currently aboard a transport on its way to Merr-Sonny tower on Val'hala, he was evidently tired by his slouching posture, with more and more often the readjustment to hide himself from the light. Against the side of his seat sat the Ak'hanz'a Ver'itoth twins, both having their heads sheathed, with his Compound Bow and Quiver covering them from vision.

At the moment Valashu was late, and wanted to quickly get the mission done: getting to the Tower for his meeting with Gray Raxis. The appointment was set as a means to procure raw Phrik from the other, so as to avoid taking more from his own stockpiles, while also building a business relation with a fellow service company.

"Sir, we are arriving now."

"Of course. Thank you Terrence." Valashu said, rising from his position. Once up he clipped his Bow and Quiver in place on each hip, with the Twins against his lower back in an X fashion, heads pointed downward. Moving to the exit ramp he called over his shoulder, "Let Serene know that I am here at last, and to offer another apology to Gray for my absence."

Gray had been invited to Val'hala to meet with [member="Matreya"] for a business deal of obtaining phrik for him. The man had been there during the campaign for Imahalyan and had earned Gray's respect completely not just in his combat skills but also for his actions and choices. He had agreed to meet with him there, and had arrived a little too early. He had been lead to a room to wait in, and left there. He had come dressed in a quality gray collared, button-up shirt with a dark blue vest of equal quality over it and gray slacks of the same shade as the shirt. He wore fine black dress shoes and had his lightsaber, Whisper, hilt hung next to his blaster pistol that was strapped to his right leg. He never went anywhere without the two weapons on him because of their sentimental value to him.

Gray waited around for a bit before he decided to take some time to do what he usually did in his spare time. He sat down cross legged in an open spot on the floor and rested his arms over his knees. He lowered his head while he closed his eyes and began to focus on the force. He was lost in strengthening his connection to the force when someone came in to inform him of the late arrival of Valashu and apologized for the wait. He just nodded in acknowledgement and kept on his task of focusing on the force. When Valashu finally arrived, Gray opened up his eyes and stood up. He held out a hand to shake as he said with a smile, " Hello there Valashu. Good to meet with you again. How have things been since Imahalyan?"

Valashu grinned as he approached, his hand out to shake, "Gray, how goes everything? Last we met was on the battlefield. I'm glad to see such acts haven't caused you to lose your mind." Taking up a seat, he reached into his vest for a pack of cigarettes found there. Taking one to his lips, he then said, "Sorry. I smoke sometimes. Hope it doesn't bother you."

Withdrawing a lighter next, he flipped the lid, struck the flint and held the flame to the end of his nicotine stick. Taking a long slow inhale, he held it while opening the nearest window, then blew the smoke in that direction. Pinching the cigarette between his teeth, he sighed, it was always nice, that first bit of relaxation after going through withdrawals.

"So, how about a drink?" He asked then, waving a hand at a nearby crystal decanter that held an amber liquid. With a small application from the Force, a glass and the bottle rose, to pour him a decent amount before it was sent floating his way, while the stoppered container slowly lowered itself back down.

"Anyway, let's do some business. I hear your company might have access to some raw Phrik, is that true?" He asked, taking another pull off of his cig.

Gray was glad to see that [member="Matreya"] had been doing well since he had last seen him. The man began to smoke, which was not something Gray particularly enjoyed others doing but he wasn't opposed either. He was glad to see his friend was polite enough to open a window and blow it towards it. It didn't help completely, but it was better than getting the smoke blown in his face. That was what James Justice tended to do sadly every time he went to visit the man. He felt that the reason behind it was to try to piss him off, which was more than likely the reason the man did it.

Gray smiled to Valashu after he finished speaking to him and said, " For the drink, I'd love one. For the phrik, it is true. SocMin Fed has a mine in the Roche asteroid field. We can mine the stuff for you if you need some of it. How much are you looking at getting and how much are you looking to pay for it?" He smiled as he spoke. He wasn't sure how most people went about business, but he found getting directly to the point tended to be better.

"I'm looking to oversee the mining, first off let that be known." Val said, "Second, a minimum of a thousand kilos. I don't need it all from you, but that is the end goal. So, basically as much as you can sell.

"Payment wise, I can offer a thousand-five for a half. How's that?" Three grand for a single kilo was beyond top dollar in many regions, and he only did so as this was an ally.

Gray listened to what [member="Matreya"] said in response to his question. That was a lot of phrik he needed, a little over a ton, so he had to do some mental calculations in his head. He got a rough number in his head and was satisfied with the results. He smiled to Valashu and said, " Alright, I can do 1,000 kilos for you of phrik and a little more if you needed it. I will cut you a deal being a friend and ally on the price as well. I will ask for 2,500 credits per kilo. With the bulk you are asking for that should drop your price down. Also I am fine with you overseeing the mining. I can't promise anything interesting will happen while it is though. So do we have a deal?"

Matreya arched a brow, "You're willing to accompany me for that much time?" He asked. It would take multiple trips to allocate so much, and that's with him not being there to oversee. At the moment it looked intense to make a large deal such as that.

"I didn't expect you to agree to so much honestly."

[member="Gray Raxis"]

Gray chuckled at his comment and smiled at [member="Matreya"] after. He said, " We are friends and allies Valashu. Why wouldn't I be willing to agree to it? That is a lot of phrik, but we are getting paid for it and it is just being mined. It is as much an offer of good will as it is anything else. If you do not think it is a good deal, then we can continue hashing it out. If you do think it is then we can shake on it and get moving on to the next phase of it. I'm not one to try to squeeze credits out of friends, so I won't do that to you." He extended his hand out to shake. He added as he did, " So do we have a deal or shall we continue?"

Matreya nodded as he shook the offered hand, "Of course. I meant to make no issues, only to state surprise at being so quick to release such a large amount." Gesturing to the door, he continued, "I have my own ride, so I believe I will just see you at your office next? I will be just a bit longer than necessary, as I have a few quick errands to run."

At that he nodded, offered a salute, then vanished back through the doorway.

It took around an hour to reach his home, a small condominium that was bequeathed to him free of charge by Damien whom took a step up the threshold. It was in all honesty a decent sized home, but kept bare so as to keep Valashu steadfast in the goals he put before himself. The only things found within were the necessities: computer technology, comms, clothing, weaponry, weapon upkeep gear, and the like.

Placing his quiver to the surface of a counter, the bow soon was beside it. In moments he had removed all his gear that covered him, before replacing it all now covering the Kinetic Bodyglove that was becoming so common on his person. Next, instead of returning the Twins to their positions against his back, he placed one in the container hidden beneath the lip of his couch.

Walking to his closet, he detached the sleeves of his Archer Vest, placing them within, in a safe connected to Blue Max - one that was only hackable upon hours of effort. Then reaching up, he drew forth a polished olive colored Trench coat that met his ankles. Sliding one arm, then the other, into it quickly, he lastly nestled Silt inside against the front left of the jacket.

It would be hidden to detection. Thanks to the White Current. But also held stationary by a sleeve built in specifically to allow easy storing and withdrawal.

Finished, he locked down his home, returned to his ship, giving the command to meet Gray at his office.
