Rapid Fire - Focused through a number of systems and a dedicated cooling system to keep the system running, the rate of fire for this series of laser cannons is nothing to scoff at.
Long Range - Enhancements made to the internal systems while keeping the platform the same size has bolstered the bolt cohesion and given the platform extended range for varied uses.
A Solid Punch - The weapon system has exceptional damage output despite its modest production capacity, especially noticeable in this variant with the enhanced systems and widened firing chamber.

Large - The weapon system houses a number of additional internal systems that give it a high rate of fire, making them stand out while deployed or in use with the heavy variant only being usable on the largest of ground vehicles and larger starfighters without concessions.
Very Heavy - The weapon system houses a number of enhancements to the internal systems that give it a high rate of fire while remaining cool for continued operations, making it a cumbersome addition to ground vehicles and starfighters alike.
Limitations - While the light variant of this weapon system can be used as a suitable point defense system, this heavy variant is not capable of such unless the target is highly predictable and very slow.

A simple design fueled by the use of Maji Ironworks systems in the most recent items for clients. The continued expansion of the Priddy catalog could not happen without a revisit of the laser cannon system as both fixed weapon emplacements and turret configurations. Utilizing the Priddy Ion Cannon being used as a template to provide a number of variants that would be suitable for a variety of purposes. With a dedicated floating barrel and shock absorption system built into the frame to remove the issue of target tracking straying in light of the slight recoil along with a scaling mounting system for additional barrels in a turret configuration up to quad-barrel.
The PGEM Mark 1 Laser Cannon series is a trio of modular energy weapons designed to deliver sustained, high-rate energy firepower across a range of tactical needs. Built on a shared structural and mechanical housing, all three variants retain the same profile and external design, allowing seamless integration into various platforms without the need for significant structural accommodations or retraining of maintenance personnel.
Developed with a philosophy of battlefield interchangeability and ease of production, the PGEM Mark 1 series features: A standardized barrel and emitter assembly with integral heat dissipation and cooling vanes along with modular internal components tailored to each version. Reinforced servo-assisted gimbal systems for turret-mounted variants with enclosed capacitor and focusing chambers for all-environment usage.
The PGEM-HC Mk.1 is the apex variant of the series. While it retains the visual silhouette of its siblings, its internals are radically reinforced: an expanded firing chamber allows for larger charges, and extended capacitor banks support its energy-hungry output. Designed for long-range engagements and hardened target penetration, the PGEM-HC is unsuitable for light or highly mobile units except in fixed forward-firing configurations.
The Heavy System is what most would call an assault laser cannon system for medium to large ground vehicles and a heavy hitting starfighter weapon. Retaining high-volume of fire with a sustained rate of fire reaching 300 bolts per minute (burst-capable) with a bolstered range and destructive capabilities as seen on most tanks or siege vehicles. Its modularity allows it to be mounted on both starships and moderate to large sized ground vehicles where weight is not restricted.
