Perfecting the Exoskeleton

Bacta tanks lined the left hand side of the room, while computers and data pads sprawled over the remaining walls, analysing the fluctuating data that flowed through their software. The mechanical hiss of the electronic doors welcomed the CEO of Autrio Technologies, and head-to-toe he was covered in cybernetics, and what little flesh remained was minuscule in comparison to the pieces of metal that jutted out of his skin in a hellish appearance. For all intents and purposes, he looked both barbaric and violent. His face was masked, emotionless as he had a skull implant that hid any form of emotion. He looked over the occupants of the bacta tanks, with a large sum having suffered from a bad case of death. Slaves, they came a dime a dozen. He could replace them, but he had yet to perfect his exoskeleton. That was just what he was here to do.

"Give me the diagnostics report," Visser ordered to one of the few caretakers of this facility. A gentleman garbed head to toe in a white suit with a clear faceplate turned to the CEO of Autrio Technologies. "Sir, subjects three-to-eight were operated on at 0800 hours, by 1300 subjects three, six and seven suffered from cardiac arrest as a result of heart failure when their bodies continued to reject the implant. Subjects three, four, five and eight all suffered similar problems; spinal cord damage. While the exoskeleton should be fixing this problem, most instances resulted in our subjects dislodging their spine due to the exoskeleton movement."

Visser remained emotionless behind the skull implant, and remarked in a cold manner, "I want new subjects brought forth. Utilise the cardio-muscular packages, inject these implants into the muscles located directly around the spinal cord to strength their core. It may prevent dislodging, ultimately, rejection cannot be avoided." He knew this well, his species were one of the few that could survive dramatic cybernetics, and he had witnessed countless others achieve what he had, but their bodies would not yield to the foreign objects in their system. All he could do was fix the spinal issue, and the rest would be in the hands of the man, woman or person paying for the operation. It would ultimately be taken with caution, and if they continue, Autrio Technologies would claim no fault of their own.
