Shai gave in.

After literal weeks of being stuck with Xyoz treating her like an absolute gem, going out of his way to either impress her or make her happy, and just overall doing everything right that he could, she gave in and dragged him along on a trip alone. She brought Kranak along last time mostly to break some ice on the long journey and to be able to talk to someone else other than Xyoz or his crew. Now she was alone with him.

Didn't mean she was going to make it easy for him.

The rain clattered against their speeder as Shai drove them through the skylanes. She lightly hummed to the calm tune playing over the radio as they zoomed past enormous skyscrapers and other speeders. Luckily Shai kept to the speed limit and drove like a sane person, usually they would be weaving through traffic at extremely dangerous speeds. Rather than her armour, she was dressed in jeans and a tank top with a yellow jacket. Where they were going wasn't necessarily the place she wanted to be identified as a Mandalorian. It was simply old business that needed clearing up.

"Okay, after we're done with those kriffers, I'm takin' you around town. You need to get used to being around people and technology... maybe you can actually impress me today." She winked. She knew that the plethora of blunders from him were all in the pursuit to try and impress her. She knew what he wanted. The problem was that it seemed like a thought worth entertaining. Hell, she even organized a hotel room for them in a quite nice part of town. "If all goes well, we'll still have time for some proper dinner at a nice place... you're gonna have to behave with that one." She eyed him for a long while as the speeder didn't seem to move in its lane.

Xyoz Maji Xyoz Maji

Coruscant. The city world. He'd heard of it, sure. Who hadn't in this day and age? Between the various wars hosted over the planet and it's status as the center of the galaxy there was little chance that even Xyoz knew of it. But knowing and seeing were two different things. There was an awe to it that he hadn't expected. Shai Maji Shai Maji 's invitation was immediately jumped on. Any chance to spend time with her was something he treasured, sure. But just the two of them? No large Mandalorian or his crew? Absolutely.

Yet he couldn't even keep his gaze of her as the speeder raced through the air. His golden eyes stayed on the world around them, staring at the massive towers of metal and machine that made up this world. There was no life in it. No earth to tread upon. No trees or beasts. Just people. Truly it was awe inspiring. Awe and fear. His people were.. Primitive. He understood so little of technology, and to be so completely surrounded by things he could explain humbled him greatly. Confusion and frustration pulled his lips into a frown as he continued to stare at the different ships, buildings, robots that they passed through.

".. Huh?" He blinked. Xyoz turned his head, giving the other Shistavanen a slight nod. Right. She brought him not just to see the city. Business first. "I'll follow your lead on how to handle them." Probably best. His time as a pirate had showed him how woefully unprepared he was for social interactions. It'd always been easier just to kill those in the way than try to make peace. Yet, he couldn't bring himself to kill anyone without reason. His crew was likely one of the nicest. If people didn't fight, they weren't killed. And they were never left with nothing.

Hell, he even figured out it was only blood he needed to consume. A 'donation' sometimes was required, but he never let anyone die that didn't strike first. Perhaps it was arrogance in his near immortal form, or just him not wanting to be the monster he knew he was deep down. Or, perhaps, he just didn't want Shai to look at him like he was again.

"Proper dinner, huh?" He trailed off, turning his gaze again towards the buildings around them. "I'm not sure we have the same definition."

Shai chuckled softly as she turned down another skylane and picked up speed a little bit. A hint of the maniacal driving surfaced as she casually overtook a bunch of slower speeders by simply zooming past right between them. "Proper as in something that's not raw meat or junk food. Restaurant food or something." She explained, sparing a moment for a quick glance at him. "Plus I think with how this might go down, you might get some evening snacks in." She flashed a grin before dipping down a few levels and turning once more.

"These guys are a problem that's been bugging me again. I used to deliver weapons to them and they still owe me credits. But they've been threatening me and all kinds of crap like that when I tell them I don't deal in that kind of thing anymore. Next thing I know one of my cargo ships gets hit by a group that bore a remarkable resemblance to this outfit. You can understand why I decided to come pay these guys a visit personally." An undertone of anger laced her voice as she spoke. With a sigh she slowed behind a bunch of speeders halting for a freighter to take off from a landing pad. Turning her gaze to him, she relaxed a bit as she simply regarded him in silence. "I didn't bring you along for this because you're a killin' machine, Xyoz. I brought you along... because I actually wanna spend some time with you. I just need to get this mess out of the way first, though." She spoke gently as she gave his hand a gentle squeeze.

The traffic started to move and she joined in again. "I must admit..." She thought about her next words for a moment, clearly a little nervous about it. "I've been... entertaining... an idea. Maybe we could... try again. Take it easy, start over, all that jazz." She looked to him for a moment with a gentle gaze. "So yeah... by 'proper meal' I was thinking somethin' more along the lines of 'date' for the two of us." She smirked, turning her attention back to the lane ahead. The whole time she was feeling conflicted and unsure of how to approach the situation, but now that she voiced her actual thoughts... she felt lighter. Now it was reduced to the simple question of how well it could work to try again. She made a point of not giving her exes second chances. Though none of her exes thus far went out of their way as much as Xyoz had.

Perhaps giving him a second chance couldn't be too bad an idea.

They eventually arrived at a sketchy part of town in the lower levels. The rain poured down on them as the speeder stopped next to the walkway and turned off. "Before you get drenched..." She grabbed a coat from the backseat and dropped it on his lap before she zipped up her own jacket and pulled the hood over her head. Lastly she checked her pistol holstered under her arm before she opened the speeder's door and stepped into the downpour.

Xyoz Maji Xyoz Maji

There was a slight snort as Xyoz turned his gaze back towards Shai Maji Shai Maji , cracking a toothy grin. "My people used to feast, you know. On actually cooked meals." They were there, the memories. Now and then they came out, random and often Xyoz wasn't aware he even recalled something he'd forgotten. More so these days. There was.. Less of a haze. When Shai had found him there was a feral haze.

But he'd always been hazy on his past.

Her anger fed his own pretty quickly, though. People giving her trouble? All at once his worries and humbling notion of technology turned to a singular purpose and desire. Kill anyone that'd wronged her. Well, at first. He took a breath before he went any further down that route. If there was anyone who could protect Shai, it was Shai herself. That, and well. As she swerved through traffic he couldn't help but visibly tense. Even stopping had him tense. If they stopped, would they fall? His imagery on how a speeder flew was much like how a rock flew. Thrown until it hit something that stopped it.

Course, they didn't fall and he visibly relaxed. It was noticeably different from being inside a ship. At least in space he floated. That he could understand. His hardcore pondering on physics came to an abrupt end as Shai took his hand though. He blinked slowly, glancing from it to her. At first, he didn't get it. Start over? Like, pretend they don't know each other? The idea of him getting shot up by her again wasn't something he was keen on. Then she said it.

A date.

He didn't answer, instead just watching her with a mix of emotions that he couldn't put into words. Relief, fear, adoration, worry. They were only some of what he felt as he watched her pilot them down to their eventual destination. He really wasn't sure what to say at this point. He'd pull the jacket on, tugging up the hood in a similar fashion to Shai. Yep, he hated it. A frown plastered on his lips as he shifted uncomfortably in the jacket. He opened his mouth to complain.

"I'd love to go on a date with you."

Oh. He blinked slowly. That was in his mind, apparently. With a chuckle he just shook his head and stepped out into the rain. "Lets deal with these chits quick so we can."

Shai knew exactly what his reaction would be, she knew how he still felt, she fully expected him to agree to it and she expected that things would just be smooth sailing... she was still frozen in place momentarily as she blinked in surprise. A grin soon followed as she turned away to hide the blush that formed under her pelt. "The quicker, the better, huh?" She quipped as she flashed a wink at him, slipping her hands into her jacket pockets as she walked with him.

They strolled through an alleyway where a bunch of sketchy characters hung around a steel door, all wielding some kind off odd and brutal blunt force weapon. They watched as the two Shistavanen approached and pushed themselves off their respective seats against the wall. "We're here to see the boss man." Shai calmly stated. "Get lost, mutt. You went saint, you don't belong here no more." The zabrak spoke up, lightly tapping a bat against his shoulder. The other two started to flank them, merely earning a sigh from the Mandalorian. "Figured this was gonna happen." She grumbled to Xyoz before her hands opened up. A blaster emerged from one and fired a round straight into the Zabrak's chest, while the vibroblade in the other planted into a human's throat. The last one she figured Xyoz could snack on. "I'll be honest, I figured this!" She admitted with a disappointed look on her face. "It was either gonna be us strolling in and then shooting the place up, or us shooting and then strolling in to shoot the place up." Turning to face him, she gave him a gentle kick to the backside with a snicker.

"Come on let's get these dudes. Age before beauty!" She teased, motioning towards the door as she waited for him to breach with a smirk. They were likely waiting for them to enter with several dozen blasters ready to fire, if she had to guess...

Xyoz Maji Xyoz Maji

"Some things are good quick. Not everything though." It was his turn to flash a grin and a wink before the expression fell. He could sense it. Death. Her lethal intent for this. It was.. Worrying. Maybe not worrying so much as different. Their time together before had her trying to keep him from killing people. Now he was a pirate, under her suggestion to keep him fed. He didn't kill innocent people and such, but there was already something off that he'd noticed.

Now?

He watched in silence as Shai Maji Shai Maji brought pain and death to the thugs before them. He couldn't hide his worry. Even his kill was more of an afterthought. He snatched the man by his throat and crushed it. Blood leaked down his arm, though it didn't linger long. It absorbed into his fur, his skin. Feeding him. A dried husk was dropped as Xyoz simply nodded. She seemed alright at least. Grinning and laughing. Mandalorians were warriors, so maybe it was just enjoying a fight?

Bah, he was still too dumb to think this crap through. He grinned wide in response before stepping through the door. And promptly getting shot. Yep, shoulda figured that. Several blaster bolts slammed into his torso, burning his flesh. He didn't drop, instead growling lightly. "Mistake." It was all he said before lifting a hand. The thug in front of him stood still, hands still holding his blaster. Blinking even.

Expect not at the same time. His body split in half, one falling faster than the other. Blasterfire erupted again, but none of the shots reached Xyoz. He just walked forward to make room for Shai.

"Kill them all or leave some alive?" The hole in his cheek slowly knitted itself back together as he waved his hand again. Another's head fell from their shoulders.

Xyoz went through the door and promptly started to clear the place out, using some powers that Shai had never seem before. It irked her to see him use it, the Dark Side. Sure it was all he knew... but he was no longer Sith. There was no need for power like that. The desire was there to pop him from behind, but she instead trained her blaster arm onto the thugs they came to execute.

”Leave one or two of the grunts alive. The rest can go. I ain’t lettin’ them rebuild from this.” her voice was cold as she spoke, making sure to hide behind him or the furniture inside as she fired at the criminals. Soon the room was cleared out, with only a few remaining while others cried out in pain. With a face devoid of expression, Shai idly walked through the place and casually lobbed a round into each person still alive. When she was done, she stood in front of the last few survivors.

”I was hoping for some excitement at least.” She spoke up, crouched down in front of the survivors. Her vibroblade extended from her other arm and with one swift swing one of them crumpled over with an open throat. ”... Feel free to chow this one, babe.” She muttered, pointing to the second one. Her gaze turned to the last one with a mixture of boredom and annoyance. ”You’ll live. You gotta spread the word. You make it clear to the rest of Underworld that targeting Maji Ironworks will only end badly. Remember what happened today. Next time, you’ll be joining ‘em.” The barrel of her blaster pressed against a thigh and the gun went off.

Screaming in pain, the poor man writhed on the ground while Shai simply watched him in her crouched position. After he finally started to limp away, Shai looked to Xyoz. ”These guys gonna be enough of a snack for you or do you need some more?” She asked him as she stood up, her arms returning to normal.

”Otherwise, let’s kark off. Cops will probably be on their way, even in a part of town like this.” She continued on with no emotion or depth to her voice. A smile only broke through when she looked to the door and a smirk formed. ”Perfect date night.” She snickered lightly to herself.

Xyoz Maji Xyoz Maji

It was over before it began, really. Common thugs stood no chance to a cybernetically enhanced Mandalorian and.. Whatever Xyoz was. And yet, when it came to cleaning up Xyoz only watched. Shai Maji Shai Maji had become cold, merciless. Was this how she always was? Or was it because of what had happened to her? He didn't even look at the 'snack' that was offered, his faintly glowing gaze instead focused only on her. If only he'd actually figured out how to read minds or whatever the Sith could actually do.

A quick swipe of his hand severed his 'snack' in two. As they left, the blood that seeped out floated through the air to get absorbed into his body. Regardless of what he was thinking, he did need to eat. Less he loose his mind again and loose any chance of seeing Shai. "Right, perfect." Was it? Actually, it might very well be, for them. They weren't normal. He never had been. Grant it, their meeting was her trying to kill him. But she showed mercy then, to an enemy.

Now?

Once they were in the shuttle he again watched her. The concern was obvious as a rising sun at this point. But what was there to say? She'd already admitted she wasn't okay. And what could he do? He barely got a grasp of Basic, for the second time no less. With a sigh he just reached over to touch her shoulder. "I'm here for you. Now, at least." Right. No matter what, he'd always be here for her.

"So where are we goin' to eat? Hope they don't mind a couple mutts."

As they made their way outside, Shai couldn't shake the feeling that something was off with Xyoz. His words, his manner, it all seemed off. Not close to the typical Xyoz she knew. It was only confirmed when she walked over to the driver's side and noticed him watching her from underneath her hood. Climbing into the speeder, she sighed as she started the speeder up and got ready to drive.

She paused for a moment as he laid his hand on her shoulder... not sure what to make of his words. Her frowning gaze moved from his hand to his eyes as she tried to figure out what to say to him. "They're cool, don't worry." She muttered, speeding off from the scene of the crime and towards a much better part of town. It was going to take a while for them to reach their destination.

Which meant a lot of time for the two of them to talk...

"Alright, spit it out." She grumbled. "I can see it in your face, furball. If I didn't know any better, I'd say you're staring at a ghost or something. What's the issue here?" She asked him, even slowing down the speeder a bit to match the rest of the skylane. Taking it even one step further, she turned on the autopilot and turned in her seat to face him with crossed arms. "You've been lookin' like this even before we kicked the door in. I ain't takin' you anywhere if this is how you're gonna be all night." She stated.

Xyoz Maji Xyoz Maji

header2_by_zigor_adebisi_deo2cqn-fullview.png

Well, there was no getting around it. He'd keep being awkward if he didn't say anything now. Xyoz did, however, look hella uncomfortable as she took her hands off the wheel. That sort of panic set in as he almost reached out to take hold of it himself. Only to stop once he realized it was autopilot. Right, that was a thing. He cleared his throat, instead swiping his hand through his hair like that's what he was intending.

Smooth.

"It's.. You're more brutal now. Enjoyin' it. Not tryin to say you shouldn't. Just.. I'm a little worried I guess? You sure as shit can handle yourself and I ain't tryin to say ya need help or something. I just.. Gah, I sure as shit dunno how to word it either. I just want ya to know I'm here if ya ever need someone to talk to or somethin' y'know? N'.. If ya.. .." That he paused on. His gaze stayed out the window, no longer looking in Shai Maji Shai Maji 's direction.

"I just want ya to be happy." Yeah. That made more sense to him. He smiled, turning his head back to look at her. "Are ya happy?"

Shai chewed her lower lip as frustration built on her face, listening to Xyoz's words. He was nailing every point to the letter... she did not like that at all. She knew that things weren't right in the upstairs department, yet she didn't want to dwell on those thoughts. As he looked away, so did she as she crossed her arms, not sure what to make of the situation.

Her head lowered at his question. No matter what he did in the past, the one thing she could never deny was his sincerity. Too simple a person to fake sincerity and modesty. That was what drew her originally to him. The worst part was how hard it was to answer his question. Was she happy? Genuinely happy? Not a chance. There was too much going on for her to be the bubbly gun runner she used to be. But there were moments where she sure as hell felt like that again. With Alora, with the kiddies... and with him.

A smile finally formed as her features softened. "Ya know... no matter what happened in the past... you still manage to make me smile." She finally answered after a long silence. Glancing to him, her smile brightened. "I dunno how you do it, but you never fail to fulfil that promise you made." In a quick and swift action she leaned over and planted a kiss on his cheek before her attention returned to the road, her cheeks burning underneath her pelt. "Let's get goin' before we're late." She muttered as she resumed control of the speeder. Immediately the pace picked up and she blasted through the traffic towards their destination.

Arriving at the restaurant, Shai's mood sunk a little at the rows upon rows of speeders packed around the place. Through the windows she could see the stacked tables and patrons filling up the place. She cringed at the sight, not in the mood for the amount of people in there... she had a feeling Xyoz was of the same mind. "... Nah, we ain't goin' in there." She grumbled, taking off again. "We can find a better spot." After flying around for a bit, she pulled over by a normal, unimpressive diner. Nothing about it stood out and the few patrons inside all looked as dreary as the downpour outside of the speeder... she was fine with that. "Nobody said a date has to be fancy." She chuckled, looking to Xyoz. "And babe... thanks." She said softly, her eyes lingering on his for a moment before she got out of the speeder and tucked the hood of her jacket far over her head.

Inside, she got them an open table away from the rest and the waiter brought the menu. "In a place like this... no brainer. I'm takin' the bantha burger." She quipped after only glancing over the menu.

Xyoz Maji Xyoz Maji

header2_by_zigor_adebisi_deo2cqn-fullview.png

Ah crap he upset her. His smile started to turn to a frown as he watched Shai Maji Shai Maji look away. He wasn't trying to upset her. Of course he upset her. He shouldn't be spouting this kind of stuff like he was, especially after how he just left her. Left her when she needed him. Already he was planning to somehow punish himself for his out of bounds conversation, yet.. She smiled.

Pure confusion and surprise took over his features as he stared wide eyed at the woman. She.. Thanked him? Much like a computer blue screening he just stared at her. The kiss on his cheek certainly didn't help him either. Did he.. He helped? .. Kept his promise? The dumb, goofy smile returned as he nodded. Right. Date. The smile didn't fade as he turned his gaze out. Worry flashed in his eyes as they suddenly took off but the smile at least stayed. Then.. Yeah.

A grimace at all the people. Too many heartbeats. That was the first thing he noticed. Even through the windows he could hear them. The uncomfortableness as he sat up straighter was there just for a moment. Then he forced a smile. Right. Shai was planning on bringing him here, she should at least try to enjoy it, right? "Ohthankchit." Her grumbling had him slump in relief as he laughed.

"I think I'd of gone deaf in there." His laughter softened as he turned his gaze towards her again. Catching her eyes. Mechanical as they were, they were still hers. He had just started to lean over as she got out of the car. Not that his leaning woulda done anything. His jacket got caught, leaving him to grumble as he stared at the fabric. Damn thing. Half grumbling he followed her inside, tugging up his own hood like she did.

Mostly cause he wasn't sure if he needed to or not.

Menu in hand he just.. Stared. ".. Uh. .. What's a burger again?"

Shai chuckled softly at his ignorance and waved the waiter over to order. "Two bantha burgers with fries, and cola for both." She ordered before her attention shifted back to Xyoz. "You'll see. Better to just show ya. You'll love it, trust me." She reassured him with a light nudge to his leg. "You can also drop the hood down. It ain't raining in here." She smirked as she nodded to the window next to them.

She was silent for a moment until the waiter brought their drinks. After a long sip she turned her attention back to Xyoz. "How's the gigs goin' lately? I know the Krakens have been busy." She asked casually, though there was a hint of concern behind the casual smile. The mess on Hefi might have been a few weeks ago, but it was still a concern for her. "I ain't gonna sugar-coat it, Xyoz. Were you on Hefi with that mess?" She asked him with a serious tone. She leaned forward a bit as she looked directly into his eyes. She already had a very strong suspicion with the reports she heard, practically a done deal. She wanted to hear from him herself. "I don't wanna start crap, babe, but I need to know. I've warned them what will happen if they target Enclave again. I've warned you. Why did I hear reports of a canid pirate that seemingly can't be killed?" She asked him softly, leaning back when their burgers arrived.

"Give me a guarantee that it was just a coincidence." She idly popped a few fries into her mouth as her eyes remained glued to his.

Xyoz Maji Xyoz Maji

The hood was pretty hastily pulled down once Shai Maji Shai Maji made mention of it. Xyoz kept his grin, though. Just nodding along. If there was one thing he did do, it was trust her. Drink in hand he idly sipped at it, though only once. His face twisted right up at the cola taste.

He didn't complain, course. Just, it was obvious he didn't like something about it. Which really was just the bubbles. A couple more sips and he'd probably be fine with it. It has.. Taste. Right. He could taste things again. It was recent, far more than Shai would know. Just consuming blood, and only blood, was changing him. No more flesh or bone. His gaze lingered on the drink in front of him for a moment, then he blinked. "I think they're.. Alright." A lie. An obvious one at that.

There was a sadness and an annoyance to his eyes as Shai stared into them. He didn't look away, but he didn't bother with his food. Of course she knew. Wasn't hard to tell, especially with him constantly getting shot like he had been. "No one told me it'd be Mandalorian. After the Casino, I figured we'd do something small. I hoped on without askin', and next thing I know there's mandos everywhere." The annoyance took over as he lifted up a fry to munch on.

"N' when I tried to just leave people kept shootin' me. Not surprisin', but they coulda just let me go when they saw I couldn't die. But noooo. They just had to figure out how to kill me." He grumbled on, his gaze wanting to glance off. But he didn't. This mattered too much.

"I got.. Pissed after they kept blowin my head off. And fought. But I didn't kill anyone. .. Pirates gonna pirate, sure. But.. They keep doin' shit like Hefi and I'll karkin' kill all of em. We ain't an army. Shouldn't be messin with Mandos to begin with." He slumped back in his seat, letting his eyes finally fall away to stare out at the rain.

"I'm sorry."

Shai was quiet as he spoke, though her features hardened more and more as he spoke. He finally finished with an apology, but Shai was beyond that point in the moment. "Poodoo like Hefi? Xyoz, Hefi was already unacceptable. That wasn't just pirates being pirates, that was a declaration of war. Karkin' hell, you don't just go around hittin' capitals like that unless you wanna send a message." She growled, her grip steadily bending the edge of the table as she glared at him.

"That was my home, Xyoz. They attacked my home. An apology isn't enough to just fix the damage they did." She continued, her raising voice drawing the attention of the other patrons. Understandably people were getting uncomfortable. Shai finally released the table and rose from her seat. "I ain't hungry no more." She growled as she marched away back to the speeder, into the heavy rainfall. But as she reached the speeder, she let out a heavy breath as she leaned against the speeder.

It wasn't his fault.

As the rain drenched her mane, she rested her head against the roof of the speeder in deep thought. She steadily calmed herself down as she thought over what he said about the Krakens. He was not the brightest light on the ship... it shouldn't be a surprise that he got roped into this. She finally took one last breath and pulled her hood up again as she walked back to the diner and slid back into her seat. The bent table was bent back into place and she steadily slid fries into her mouth as she quietly enjoyed the meal. Soon the burger followed and she gave an occasional hum from the flavour, still not saying anything to Xyoz. Only the occasional guilty glance as she ate and drank away.

Even when they were done, she silently paid for the meals and led him back to the speeder where she let out a sigh. "I'm sorry, babe. And I forgive you. It wasn't your fault." She muttered, resting a hand on his leg. A smile formed as she looked at him. "Let's get outta here." The speeder started up and they were off, soon arriving at the hotel she organized for them. She even took it one step further and organized the penthouse suite for the two of them, wanting to make it special for them both. She didn't want to fight with him over petty trifles now. Her outburst in the diner was already too much.

"Just the two of us now. Kark the rest of the galaxy." She muttered as her arms wrapped around his torso and she rested her face against his back.

Xyoz Maji Xyoz Maji

header2_by_zigor_adebisi_deo2cqn-fullview.png

"That's-!" Well. No, Shai Maji Shai Maji was right. Xyoz leaned back in his seat, his gaze lowering. For once, he wasn't hungry anymore. The people around didn't matter, but for her to storm off. He raised a hand, ready to reach out and stop her. Only to stop.

He'd attacked her home. It was his fault for just going along. Ignoring the consequences. He leaned back, letting his arm lower to let her walk off. Silence, for a couple minutes. Letting him think. What should he do? He did like being a pirate. And his crew was the best. But.. The Kraken's did something unforgivable. Maybe he should talk to his crew at some point.

Then she was back. He blinked in surprise as Shai sat down. So wrapped up in his own thoughts he didn't even realize she'd come back. He said nothing, much like her. Only watching her eat. He really didn't want to eat his own food. Not now. Xyoz eventually looked away, letting her eat in peace as he tried to calm his own mind. He wasn't sure what to do. He wanted to make it up to her. Make sure it never happened again.

When they were done and leaving, he still wasn't sure what to say. Shai was the one to break the silence. And what she said he didn't agree with. It was his fault. Still, he nodded. Them getting out of there would be best. "Alright."

When they made it to the penthouse, he finally spoke again. He kept his gaze forward as Shai wrapped her arms around him. This alone made hin happy. The hapoiest he'd been in a while. Feeling her warmth against him. Yet..

"Us against the galaxy. .. I'd love that, y'know. But I don't got anyone I care about like I care about you. You though, you got all kinds of people, right?" He glanced over his shoulder, grinning.

"Right now, just you n' me. Later though? Can I become somethin' more in your life and meet em?"

Shai's head tilted up as he smiled at her. He raised a good point... a very good point. It was something they never mentioned, yet it was always on their minds back when he was part of the Sith. He put her on a spot she had been avoiding for a very long time. Her smile dwindled somewhat as her grip on him loosened. She stepped in front of him and held her arms around his back as she looked up at him. "I..." She started, but her gaze lowered slightly.

She wanted to bring him to Kestri, to let her people meet him. Kranak already did, and it wasn't such a bad first meeting. But Kestri was out of the question... and after hitting Hefi, things might not go down so smoothly if she brought him there. "Well, first we'll have to sort out the situation regarding your presence on Hefi." She muttered with a smirk as her hold on him tightened. "But... down the line? Yeah, I think we can work somethin' out. At least you ain't sith no more, so that's a start. Makes the introductions a lot less awkward than it would have been a couple years ago." Holding onto him, she stood on her toes to level with him before she closed the distance between them.

Her kiss was soft and gentle before she pulled back. "You just gotta behave for a while." She teased. "By the way, you'd be surprised how long I've wanted to do that again." Snickering to herself, she took hold of his hand and pulled him along as she made her way to the bedroom. "And as long as you don't run off on me again, I got no issues with us." Her gaze turned to him as she sat down on the bed and leaned back. "So stick around, bucko, and you might just be something more." She winked before she pulled him down onto the bed beside her. "For now, though... let's figure out how this second try thing works."

"I can always change to look like someone else, if that's a worry." He shrugged casually. Honestly, he still wasn't entirely sure if this form was what he used to look like or not. It was more likely a lot of him was influenced by how Shai Maji Shai Maji and other Shistavanen looked than his own memory. Hell, not like he could remember much to begin with. And yet.. She did want to introduce him to her people. Her family. She'd been the closest thing he had to family in a long, long time.

He was smiling like a fool, ready to say something in return to what she'd mentioned about eventually introducing him when she straight up kissed him. He just blinked and stared at her. Then picked her up in his arms. He didn't let her pull him into the bedroom, instead full on bridal carrying her there himself. He just smiled, watching her. His eyes never leaving the cybernetics glow of her own.

"I'm goin' no where, unless it's with you." He nodded once before laying her out on the bed, flashing a wider grin.

"But yea. Let's see how second try works. There's more than kissin' I've been wantin' to do with ya nayway."
