Medical equipment, bacta tanks, surgical areas
Strengths:
  • Red Cross - Literally: The Pelta-II is an excellent medical vessel, capable of properly caring for hundreds of injured patients. From bacta tanks to surgical rooms, it has it all.
Weaknesses:
  • Medical Only: Pelta-IIs do horrible in military conditions, with only a few point defense guns, two turbolasers, and basic shielding.
  • Bantha: Due to the amount of medical supplies on the ship, the ship is very slow and turns even worse.
  • No Spare Change: The Pelta-II is one of the most expensive non-private frigates in the galaxy, and it takes Ne-Cal 2 months just to make one Pelta.
Description: Based on a design from hundreds of years back, the Pelta-II is slightly larger and is completely focused on medical duties. Ne-Cal, in need of a medical frigate, decided to honor that old design and make the new frigate like the old one.

Like the original Pelta, the Pelta-II is well suited for medical service, even better than its predecessor. In fact, the Pelta-II is almost 200% more adapted to medical duties than the older Pelta. However, its arament barely improved and is only one point defense cannon heavier. It is also much slower than the Petla, and has horrible maneuverability.

The Pelta-II can hold up to 400 tons of cargo, over 120 tons more than the Pelta. The Pelta-II's optimal crew is 1,000, and it can hold up to 500 passengers. Its consumables can last two months.
