I'm kind of aiming for getting him set up as a Niman combat specialist. Figured that'd be an interesting set up. Combine that with him possibly being a Sentinel and it could be a lot of fun try to train him into that. Either that or a far more spy like Sentinel, if that would work on the forums, and do that sort of stuff.

But, in all seriousness, if I wasn't eyeballing a candidate for my second padawan slot, I'd offer it to you. But, judging by what you just stated, I strongly doubt I would make an ideal master for the archetype you're seeking to go for.

Alrighty though I'm pretty open with this character. I haven't really settled on what I want him to do. I may just focus on having him be the cutest thing on the forums and totally wouldn't have him go Dark Side, build a Death Star, cover the exhaust port with a grate, and then have him take over the galaxy.
Also quick question, what's required to get a lightsaber? Been reading up on Zweihander since he'll probably be using a full size lightsaber which is about the size of his body. Would make him a bit of nightmare to deal with if he went Soresu though.

So anyways anyone want an apprentice? Also still curious about the rules of getting a lightsaber.

The only rules on lightsabers are that, before an NFU can use one, they have to have a dev thread showing development of that skill.
As such, you may choose to start with your own lightsaber or no lightsaber. Or use a training lightsaber while building and developing your own. There's no right or wrong answer, only your own preference.
If the lightsaber is a traditional weapon that conforms to screen canon, there's no need to submit it to the Factory. If, however, you want the lightsaber to have some unique properties, then you'll want to submit it to the Factory so that those abilities or attributes can be approved by the Factory Judges for use on the board. Such a submission may or may not require a dev thread, depending on the attributes requested and how much they vary or are unique from the traditional lightsaber.
