Intent: A battle mapping and analysis system to give the Consortium a competitive edge in a fight
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: The Paladin Consortium
Model: PC-122
Affiliation: The Paladin Consortium
Modularity: An AI can be added for additional analysis and computing power
Production: Limited
Material: Scanners, computers, holotransmitters

Strengths:
  • Allows Consortium leaders to see and analyze an ever-updating battlefield from the safety of their chosen command area
Weaknesses:
  • Transmission can be jammed or intercepted like any other signal
  • Only provides a view of the battle in range of troops' scanners. Therefore, if soldiers have been pushed back or have left an area, the commanders will be left with an older view of the battlefield

Description: Based on a prototype by the Black Sun, the PC-122 is meant to be an acute-detail area analysis system. In simpler terms, it essentially pulls data constantly from probes, ships, vehicles, and armor on-site. It allows Paladin command to essentially reconstruct the battlefield on a holoprojector for analysis. From there, they can further decide troop movements regarding the battle.

The process is actually quite simple. Scanners on Paladin equipment pick up terrain features, life forms, man-made structures, and everything elset and deposit it into a cloud dtabase onboard the command the command ship. The system then draws on the large pool of data to construct areas of the battlefield for the commanders to see. This allows them to make critical decisions more easily concerning the Paladins' battle strategy. The map can also be sent back to other transmitters nearby, such as field commanders or captains of allied ships.
