Pasa Medulla [Krius]

He had been at school for most of the day. The other children hadn't really paid him much attention, but at least that meant they had finally given up with picking on him as they usually did; while they were taught to shoot, Rhyen had split off from the group and ventured out into the urban landscape he had been raised within.

By this point, the little Mandalorian had found a good handful of hiding places spread amongst the City he called home. Habit bade him to venture to the closest one, after all he didn't want his pop' knowing he'd bailed out on lessons again. Instead he intended to provide some schooling of his own.

Crawling beneath a broken chain-link fence, Rhyen made it to a quiet zone which was pressed between two towering buildings. No one had found him here yet, no one cared to look into alleys unless they wanted to be shot at. People minded their own business, after all. It wasn't worth losing sleep over.

When he reached a decent enough distance from the fence itself, the kid sat down and began to focus. Maybe if he could learn to control his power he wouldn't end up like one of those Sith he had read about. He didn't want to hurt people! So it was that he extended out his hand and waited, while the air slowly cooled around him.

It was still very difficult for Rhyen to use what he had on demand...

With a vicious pull of the Force, Krius managed to yank the urchin of his feet and stumble backwards into the alley, allowing him the chance to move quickly over the fallen trash cans and catch up. While the urchin was in his late teens and faster, Krius had additional strength and speed through the amplification of the Force as his ally. His feet splashed into the puddles, and his hands went down to pick up the urchin by the torn lapels of his jacket.

”You’re a very annoying runt, you know?”

He pushed him back into the wall of the large buildings around them, helping to dwarf the two humans from the rest of the city.

”Keziah Denko. Where is she.”

The urchin bumbled a reply, dismissive and unhelpful, which only enraged Krius more. He shook his head and threw him back against a chain-link fence. With a satisfying call on the Force, Krius emitted a burst of energy outwards into the urchin that was strong enough to buckle the right hinges of the fence and blast the urchin through into the alley on the opposite side. Shards of metal flew back into the alley and a few loose boxes and trash cans. Thank goodness for busy city life to help drown out the sudden bang.

Krius ran forward, jumping over the twisted metal and over to where the urchin lay, groaning as a sign of his weakness. Standing over him, the elder shot out a finger.

”Last chance, where is Denko.”

The urchin craned his neck up to see where he was and what he could use to defend himself. Krius sighed. He pushed his foot down on the inviting flesh of the youth’s neck as he looked back and pushed down, all the while he looked up at the buildings that hung over them. He pushed down into the soft muscle more and more and gritted his teeth as he felt something snap and go mushy under his foot.

The neck was broken, and now the youth’s head rested at an unnatural angle on the damp ground.

With a quick lick of the lips, Krius shook his head, more frustrated at the lack of a lead than anything. The life he had taken wasn’t important. Now where was there left to go?

The blast which struck the chain-link fence was enough to startle the boy. A tremble of emotions spread through him, attributed to the fear, and the ground and walls around him became slick with ice.

Seeming more like frost than anything of use, the act left Rhyen wide-eyed. Usually his cryokinetic abilities were very minor - limited to a very specific region. This was much more than usual. Perhaps it was like the research he had done suggested... Maybe the emotional spectrum of the Sith made it easier, made it stronger...

But he couldn't do that. His family were Jedi! They would have been so angry with him had they known he had used the Force in such a way.

Panic spread through him and he rose up, staring at what he had done. It appeared harmless enough. A little ice and frost had never harmed anyone! Right? At least, not in the amount that was shown here...

Dragging himself away from his thoughts, the young boy turned his gaze around just in time to hear the pop of bone and witness the life drown from the eyes of a boy just a little older than himself. He felt sick to his core, and his eyes teared up as he lifted his gaze to the man who had caused it.
