ADVANCED SYSTEMS
Strengths:
- Sloped Hull: Like the ancient vessel the Palleon Battlecruiser is named after, the vessel has a angled and sloped hull. This forward point allows for an overwhelming amount of fire to be focused in a single direction, while the sloped build allows for several levels of weaponry to target a single objective.
- Rear Hangar: The Palleon Battlecruiser has its primary hangar placed in the rear of the vessel, protecting any departing ships from most enemy fire while at the same time offering a fast response to any ships that get around the Palleon.
- Firing Arcs: Given the Palleons sloped hull design, those weapon mounts on lower levels of the vessel have limited turning ability, mostly only able to fire in one eighty degree arcs. More maneuverability is added as you go higher up in levels, though there are fewer guns.
- Dependent: The Palleons focus on ship to ship weaponry and large scale combat called for the focus on heavy weaponry and shielding, providing only limited amount of space afterwards for point defense weaponry and fighter capacity. In combat, to supplement this loss the Palleon is often deployed with a small squadron of anti-fighter corvettes to help cover it.
