Paint it Black

Jorryn rubbed her shoulders through the cloth shirt she had woken up in, tiredly smacking her lips together as she pulled herself into full consciousness. Her fingers pressed against her eyes as she began to lift herself out of the single bed, which was unfortunately the academy's standard. The rooms themselves were fortunately individualized for acolytes that had passed enough tests and fortunately, Jorryn didn't have to worry about any roommate bothering her during her morning rituals, or someone trying to murder her in her sleep. There were other acolytes and knights living in nearby rooms as they lived in a dormitory manner, but it was better than anything she had heard about the living Jedi and Ren had.

The Echani sauntered her way towards the small kitchen area before putting on a pot of stimcaf, the aroma of it helping to ease her unwillingness to go into the new day ahead of her. Her delicate fingers pushed the silver hair covering her eyes back behind her shoulders, before tying them up in a messy ponytail. She threw open the closet to her wardrobe, the pleasant blacks and reds of it lifting her mood as she chose what to wear. She pulled a casual black tank-top and switched it out with the shirt she had decided to sleep in, not expecting much to come from today and dressing in a matter fitting her state of mind. She threw on a casual pair of black pants with her normal heeled boots, before tossing on a white cardigan that fit her loosely.

Her hand slowly lifted the now full cup of stimcaf to her crimson lips as she rested against the counter, her free hand nuzzling into her elbow as she thought of what to do with her day. Many ideas came to her; continue her lightsaber training, work more on her abilities with the force, or even just enjoy a day off of the academy campus. She set the cup back under the machine as she finished the first cup, the porcelain mug filling with more for her to drink.

The Echani raised herself from the counter as she let out a sigh, deciding that she would let the day play out how it would. She made her way towards the exit of her room, a hand reaching out to grab her most prized possession as she clipped it onto her hip in case some egotistical moron decided that today was the day they wanted to die. The door slid open as she took another sip of the drink in her hand, before stepping out into the hallway and taking a look around.

Her golden eyes took a look around the halls, the busy day had just gotten started for some of the less adjusted Sith hopefuls as they began to hurry to their instruction classes. Her tired eyes didn't adjust themselves as she felt unmotivated to attend any of the lessons being held, her opinions of those who went dropping even further. She made her way further into the dorms, the unmotivated decision being the first that popped into her bored mind as she pressed past the other Sith Acolytes attempting to make it to their classes as she took another sip from the cup in her hands.

Her blank, tired expression gave way as she saw a familiar face standing down the hallway, her raven hair covering her face. Fortunately Jorryn recognized the unique way that the woman dressed, her seeming distaste of the colour black. Still Jorryn had found the woman entertaining, perhaps there was more fun to be had with her.

"Hello there princess, funny running into you again. So I suppose you live here too?" A mocking tone coming along with the word princess, jabbing at the last time they had seen each other. "At least the caf isn't awful here." The Echani joked as she took another sip of her drink.

If there was one thing Juliet Varos of Talravin hated, it was her quarters in Bastion. Cramped, ugly, and there was hardly room to move with all of her things cluttering the space. It irked her, made her feel lesser than she knew she was. Still, there was little to be done about it, at the moment. She had to grit her teeth and bare this insult to her person. She absolutely despised this place, this Academy, this planet. Her experience on the first day her permanently soured her to this location.

She sighed as she began to put her raven hair into a ponytail, behind her head, and powder her face in the small vanity mirror she had brought with her. She had to look her best, if she wished to project her status to the common folk. She thought about those acolytes she had encountered as she decorated her lips with violet coloring. Horrid people, truly. Laughing at her, jesting with her. Unacceptable. They would all learn, eventually. She would show them. She would show them all.

Finally, she slipped into lavender silks, sighing at the feel of them on her skin. She liked dressing finely. It made her feel nice, expensive, and envied. From her experience, not everyone actually did envy her, but that mattered little. A lion did not pay attention to the opinions of the sheep, after all. She ended her process with some water and fruit, a small breakfast. What was she to do, today? Perhaps visit the library, once more? There had to be some tomes for her to digest, ancient Sith lore. Yes, that sounded nice.

When she stepped out into the hallway, she heard a familiar voice, and she internally groaned. The Echani, and the one who had given her that horrid jacket. Hmph. She externally sighed, and turned to face her, hand on her hip.
"I don't care about your caf. Such liquids are utterly disgusting. What do you want? I have better things to do than waste my time with a plebeian like you."

The smug smirk that Jorryn had on her face quietly disappeared as she lowered the stimcaf from her lips, the girl clearly not being in the mood to entertain any mockery on the Echani's part. She internally rolled her eyes as the girl let out a sigh and held her hand against her hip as she turned to face Jorryn, obvious signs that she had little interest in dealing with Jorryn today. Normally this would have been the end of the conversation as the silver haired Sith would have kept walking without acknowledging the girl, but today was a spectacularly boring day indeed.

"Well unfortunately, as far as I can tell, they don't serve wine and fancy teas in the academy here, so I try to make do with what I have." Her playful mocking tone coming back as she took the cup in both hands and drank from it again. "Plus it really isn't so bad, better than any of the other stuff they have here."

The amused tone of her voice coming back as she began to smirk again, before crossing her arms while holding the cup in front of her to quickly examine the black haired woman in front of her. Again she wore an outfit that was far too nice to simply wear for a lecture or two and showed her apparent rebellion against the colour black, the silk material being far too fine for her to be planning on training with a lightsaber. Then again training with a lightsaber probably never crossed the woman's mind, her showing against the equally inept Sith before her had shown Jorryn what little interest the woman had in learning how to fight in an up front and confrontational type of combat.

"So where are you going dressed like that? Would be a waste if you were just going to wear an outfit like that to a lecture, or if you were going to have another outfit destroyed in training practice." Jorryn remarked slyly, her burning eyes continuing their examination of her outfit before raising to meet the woman's gaze again with an arrogant smirk.
