Owazza seems to be more beast than wookie at times. He stands well over a foot taller than the average Wookie, and his features are built to match that height. His hair is long and unkempt, though he tends to braid his beard for the sake of basic appearances. He most often adorns himself with a durasteel arm plate for melee combat, and a basic protective harness to carry his war gear, but otherwise eschews clothing. A long bowcaster can usually be seen hanging from his back, along with a short vibrosword for CQC purposes.
BIOGRAPHY:
Little is known of the Wookie called Owazza. Early records suggest he was a carpenter living on his homeworld of Kashyyyk throughout his adolescence. Around his fiftieth year, the young Wookie signed himself on with Kashyyyk's local PDF, before being picked up by the Republic military shortly thereafter. The youth attended the military academy on Anaxes before deploying in numerous regional conflicts along the Republic's borders. He served as an exemplary officer for many years, but never allowed himself to ascend beyond the rank of Captain. Owazza had no desire to lead anywhere save for the front.
The self-proclaimed warlord served for over a decade with the Republic, often finding small loop holes to stay in service past the retirement threshold. He fought for his homeworld of Kashyyyk during each invasion it suffered, and came to understand the brutality of the Sith and their allies. When the Republic finally did fall, the warrior did not defect to the Galactic Alliance like many of his peers, but rather returned home to Kashyyyk.
The world had been brutalized over the past decade, and there was much work to be done with restoration. Even still, Owazza felt the call of battle in his heart, and he knew that his homeworld would never stand on his own. With that in mind, the Wookie threw his lot in with the fledgling Dominion alongside some of his former soldiers. They served with the Republic contingent that had sworn themselves to the Dominion all the way up to Atrisia.
Owazza was on the front line during that tragedy, and found himself hiding away with Atrisian civilians as a force storm raged across the planet. When it finally came to an end, the Wookiue did what he could to get his men and the Atrisians under his care offworld, managing to escape detection by Galactic Alliance ships in the system by sheer luck.
One of the few surviving officers left in the Dominion, Owazza has retained his position of leadership during the great flight across the galaxy. He is seen a face of the combined military, and has been a key part in destroying the tension between ex-Republic and ex-Sith soldiers within the Dominion's rank and file.
Emboldened by recent victories against the pirates of the outer rim, and fueled by his bitterness at the surprise attack on Atrisia, Owazza stood as a paragon of what the Dominion military stands for: unity, loyalty, and brotherhood.
Unfortunately for the warlord, the dominion was not as eternal as he'd come to think.
He came to take up his role as a line officer in the Dominion's successor state, the Grayson Imperium.
