Open to Expedition Firefist

With final goodbyes said to the native galaxy, it was time for Expedition Firefist to make way for its namesake. A grand celebration on Endor had left a few members with a bit more of a hangover than an intergalactic journey would recommend, but preparations were smoothly underway. Each ship in the expeditionary fleet took its position along the Nagai Trade Spine, the current that would take them to Firefist; And as the coordinates were calculated, there was a pregnant, nervous pause for what lay beyond. Then, the vast emptiness that was the edge of the known galaxy gave way to spirals of white and blue hyperspace.
Sinmara didn’t perceive hyperspace the same way that her compatriots did. Space as a whole was one of the more disorienting realms for a Miraluka like herself. The vacuum was devoid of most signs of life, and what few there were scattered like stars too distant to follow. But upon exiting the hyperlane, Sinmara perceived the change. In a way that would have been difficult to describe to anyone else, Firefist felt different than their native galaxy. Perhaps the others would make their own distinctions for this new frontier.
Sinmara stepped in front of the transparisteel viewport of the expedition’s main vessel, beyond which was the humming signs of a celestial body, “Welcome to Firefist, people,” she said with a grin, relaying the message to the rest of the fleet, “Why don’t we find ourselves a place to set up?”
The Expedition would need a terrestrial station. A forward operating base, of sorts. What better place to start than the planet right below them?
Expedition Firefist has officially reached its first destination! We need to scout out a planet and establish a base from which to begin our projects.
The development of the planet in question will be entirely writer-built. Don’t be afraid to posit and establish your own ideas as we explore. This is, basically, collaborative improv worldbuilding. Knock yourselves out.
