Mos Espa; one of the few jewels that the planet of Tatooine had to offer besides that almost noir-esque binary sunset that non-locals found rather beautiful.

Kel, on the other hand, found it as deplorable as 99% of the planet. The suns did little but burn the skin, and the native inhabitants were rather dull in his opinion. The few times he'd been on the world were mostly on business trips, per se, but that was an easy translation into jobs for the local Hutt lords back on Nar Shadaa. As his reputation rose, jobs become more available, and soon he found himself flying off world in order to complete contracts which an individual with a pristine record as his could only complete. But such was in the past, as his new life had little to do with his former bosses back at Nar Shadaa. He'd simply upped and vanished into thin air after the chance encounter with the man who would become his first master. He was sure there would be blood to pay if he ever ran into any of his former associates, but that was neither here nor there.

His business on the world was mostly personal in nature, as he'd spent a large portion of the recent couple of months doing nothing more than traveling through the outer rim in search of opportunities to make creds that didn't involve his former employers in any fashion. He was luck that their influence wasn't as vast as some of the lords back on that shoddy, crime-ridden moon, but the extra precautions made for an easy journey to and from his destination of choice.

With that security in mind, it was rather relaxing to be able to spend the afternoon inside of one of the less dense cantinas within the city. He posted himself near the back of the cantina as per the norm, zipping his jacket up once he sat down in order to prevent any of the current visitors from seeing any of the items currently attached to his utility belt. One specific item in question was the reason for this precaution, but that was out of sight, out of mind for the time being.

Kel was relaxing rather comfortably for the first time in a long time, which said quite a lot since his time was mostly spent consumed on being busy. Even when he wasn't training, he was busy finding ways to fill his credpouch with enough sticks to get him by for another several weeks. It was a process that made him almost feel robotic, or even unrealistic compared to the reality which he was currently in the present. Being able to sit in peace, without the urge to up and find work, or return to the beck and call of his master's call. For once in a very long time, Kel actually felt alive.

With some sort of carbonated, albeit alcoholic beverage sat on the table to his front, Kel closed his eyes as he focused on the soft and cheerful music currently being played by the band on the opposite side of the room. He ventured further into his mind albeit avoiding the cycle of journeying into his thoughts and further overthinking his already complicated life. Instead he allowed his mind to drift off into a quasi-state of meditation, auditory senses focusing on the relaxing tone of the music while visually he was blind to the world. He hoped nothing would interrupt the moment he was enjoying; hell, he might even take a nap if the mood is just right. That was a long shot, though, as it was impossible to catch a good nap whilst anywhere on that glassed-out rock known as Tatooine.

But for now, he'd relax, and wait. Then wait some more, until something would force him to open his eyes. Or at least until he got bored.
