APPEARANCE:
Possessing a slender and graceful, yet muscular build, Oscar stands at about 1.8 meters in height. He has blond hair significantly longer than military regulations call for and blue eyes, along with pale skin. Typically wears a generic Imperial Navy officer uniform with the proper rank insignia. Oscar usually has a serious, unsmiling expression, and possesses other physical attributes of a military man - broad shoulders, straight back, and the brisk walking pace.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
[+] Highly intelligent. Recognized since his youth as being very intelligent, Oscar Saint-Just excelled in all subjects while at the military prep school and later the Naval Academy, and was particularly noted for being a good mathematician. Because of his knack for manipulating numbers he specialized in astro-navigation. Besides that, he is a good strategist and analytical thinker, and also knowledgeable on a variety of other subjects.

[+] Strong-willed. He has always been driven by a mix of pride, ambition, and on some occasions, anger. But above all his motivation is his fealty to the deceased Emperor and his Galactic Empire. Because of this Oscar is not one to capitulate or accept anything less than victory.
[-] Proud and arrogant. While on one hand it gives him motivation, it also means he possesses one of the seven deadly sins of humanity -- hubris. The noble's own confidence in his abilities and pride may lead him to underestimate opponents.
[-] Anger problems. When things are not going according to his extensive planning and calculations, Oscar is bound to get frustrated and eventually controlled by his emotions, even though he likes to think of himself as above that.

PERSONALITY:
A distant and cold young man, Oscar Saint-Just is generally not one to show emotion, tending to remain reserved and calm even when he becomes enraged or upset. He is not a moral grand-stander, believing that the ends justify the means, especially when in service of king and country. Oscar is prone to underestimate both his opponents and peers, however, perhaps too full of his own sense of superiority. He is a very closed person who hates to let others know what is on his mind. Being intelligent, he is an analytical thinker who spends much of his time in thought as opposed to speaking with others. But one of Oscar's most noticeable quirks is tapping his fingers against a surface, as if typing on a keyboard, when memorizing information, almost like cataloging it on a computer.

Since becoming an officer of the Emperor, that has given him his reason for being, and in addition to that he has his sights set on attaining the highest positions in the Empire. Driven by a his unconditional loyalty to His Imperial Majesty Emperor Fel, his pride in his abilities, and ambitions for power, Oscar is not one to accept surrender or defeat. He always strives to do his utmost. Inside, he is grateful for the Fel Empire for giving him a sense of purpose. Because of that the Alsakan noble remains staunchly loyal to the Empire, and has always despised the Galactic Alliance for what he considers to be its decadence and corruption, while being suspicious of Force users of all kinds -- be they Sith, Jedi, or something else.

BIOGRAPHY:
Originally hailing from the Core World of Alsakan, Oscar Saint-Just was born into a family of lesser nobility that held the aristocratic title of Knight. Since his youth he was noted for being highly intelligent, as well as proud and headstrong, but falling just short of outright arrogant. While his world was part of the Galactic Alliance the young man had heard of and sympathized with the First Order and the Galactic Empire. He came to view the Alliance as corrupt and decadent, lacking in direction or meaning, and detested its democratic republican values -- all of which he viewed as weakness. Instead Oscar preferred the order and discipline that the Empire and Sith seemed to stand for. The young Alsakan noble also came to believe that they provided the fastest path to increasing his social standing, by joining the Imperial military. At the age of 13, he convinced his parents to allow him to attend the sector military prep school, saying that it would enhance the family's prestige if he joined the Galactic Alliance Fleet as an officer. Of course, he had no intention of doing that in the end, but his parents bought it and agreed to let him attend the sector military school. He was never particularly close to them anyway, as they were far more concerned about increasing their own standing in the planetary nobility, where noble houses rose and fell as soon as they had appeared, quickly forgotten in what Oscar considered a petty and meaningless cycle. Being involved in the power struggle among the local ruling families meant they gave little attention to their only son -- a pursuit that Oscar always viewed as futile and and small-minded. The young man balked at the idea of engaging in that. No, he has much more grandiose ambitions.

While at the prep school, Oscar studied numerous fields, being particularly capable in astro-navigation -- a good mathematician -- as well as strategic theory, but his cold personality meant he remained distant from most of the other cadets. After finishing the military school at the age of 16 he was arranged to transfer to the Fleet Academy on Coruscant, where he gained a spot due to having finished at the top of his class, but instead he deserted. The Alsakan noble stowed away aboard a transport and eventually bought his way on commercial liners towards Imperial space, where, upon arrival, he decided to apply to the Imperial Naval Academy. With his past credentials the youth was accepted and graduated with the specialization of navigation officer. It was around that time he also heard about the death of his parents in a tragic "accident" -- most likely related to their political pursuits, he concluded, judging by the circumstances of the incident -- and thus being the inheritor of the family title of Knight, the lowest one on the hierarchy of Alsakan nobility. But the newly minted Ensign Saint-Just did not particularly care by that point, instead being much more inclined to cut all former ties to his homeworld and family, fully embracing his new role as a proud officer of His Majesty's Naval Service, which had become by that point his reason for being.

Since his commissioning, Oscar served aboard a frigate for his active duty seasoning, and subsequently worked aboard a Star Destroyer bridge as part of the navigation section. Proving his abilities, the nobleman eventually reached the rank of commander and was given the captaincy of a cruiser. Over the course of the four years since his completion of the academy, Oscar has taken part in everything from cartographic expeditions into the depths of the Unknown Regions to anti-piracy operations and protecting colonies from unknown alien factions.
