CORPORATION INFORMATION
DESCRIPTION
Originally a Mid Rim shipbuilding corporation, that was Separatist-aligned during the Clone Wars. The firm was acquired by NAKAIOMA during the rise of the first Empire, with approval from Imperial authorities due to 'disloyal leadership' in the former. Rebranding the miscellaneous organization with a new Onami-chi based name, Osato Aerospace was born. Primarily focused around the design, and construction of civilian vessels, recently the OAC (Osato Aerospace Corporation, its full, and legal name), has ventured into some limited military naval design and manufacturing. Maintaining its roots, Osato still designs many speeders, and other repulsorlift vehicles for the market, and produces everything from luxurious limousines, to off-road, wheeled mining transports. The corporation's most reliable, and typically, its largest contractor has been HSG Shipping.

Working closely with Nakaioma Heavy Industries, and HSG Shipping, Osato Aerospace also extensively enlists Nakaioma Security Services for the protection of its ports, administrative offices, and shipyards. Not only building large civilian freighters, and speeders however, Osato also provides finance-related services for other shipbuilding, or otherwise starship, or speeder-related businesses. Offering loans, financial advisors, among other things. Likewise they also offer personnel training to these same businesses, with Osato training centers located around the galaxy, where employees of other corporations, or those simply looking to learn, are given classes on engineering, piloting, ship maintenance, ship-related laws, and communications, depending on what their employer requires them to know.

Along with operating certain starports, often near HSG Shipping operated starports, or sections of other starports. Osato designs and develops machinery for use in starports, such as cargo loading equipment, and ship logistical technology. Much of which is then constructed by Nakaioma Heavy Industries, due to a series of contracts exchanged between the two corporations, other research and development capabilities of Osato Aerospace are spent in its Naval Technology department, Osato Fleet Systems, the business unit responsible for the development, and upgrading of ship-related technologies, and electronics. The firm is currently headquartered in Nakaioma Plaza, but maintains a presence in Regional Headquarters across the galaxy.

RATIONALE
Inherited from his father, Szuko Nakaioma, when he unexpectedly passed away. Saro Nakaioma took the reigns of the massive conglomerate as CEO at the age of 38. Where his father was a steady hand, never wanting to unnecessarily rock the boat, in-order to ensure the conglomerate's continued longevity, in the face of an unstable galaxy. Saro had an opposite view of the situation, seeing the chaos that was enveloping everyone and everything as a means to the Nakaioma Conglomerate's growth. Investing heavily in new projects, and innovations in all sectors of their business, and even expanding into new ones. He has become a popular figurehead for the brand name, and is well liked, and feared-when required, among the core elite.
