GENERAL INFORMATION
Orvak Kresh is a Clawdite operative in his late twenties who serves as an Agent of the Republic Intelligence Service. Off the field he's bold and charismatic, his charm as noticeable as his confidence. When a mission starts, he shifts into a completely different persona; quiet, precise, and almost invisible.
A master marksman and skilled melee combatant, Orvak can melt into both city streets and frontier outposts, making him one of RIS's most effective deep‑cover assets. He spends most of his time in his natural Clawdite form, turning to a handful of practiced disguises only when a job calls for it.
-
Orvak was born on the edge of Zolan's habitable belt, in a settlement bordering a vast, radiation‑scarred wasteland. Like many Clawdites in rural areas, his community was built on deep mistrust, strict identity‑verification rites, and a cultural paranoia that sprang from the species' innate abilities. While most people felt confined by those rules, Orvak thrived. He learned early how to read people and how to play them; adopting a persona, adjusting his posture and voice long before he ever needed to shift his flesh. The performative nature of Clawdite society, instead of suffocating him, felt like a stage he could command.HISTORY
Zolan's isolation eventually wore on him. Orvak craved movement, unpredictability, and stories that stretched beyond his world. When a small Republic diplomatic mission arrived during his teenage years to negotiate access to Zolanese research archives, he volunteered as a local guide. Half bold, half bored, he impressed the delegation by neutralizing a pack of monzu predators using a stolen hunting rifle and an improvised blind. A Republic intelligence liaison on the team noticed his aptitude, planting a seed for his future.
Years later, as the Republic merged its security forces into the High Republic Strategic Command, Orvak left Zolan and enlisted as an off‑world scout. His work caught the eye of RIS recruiters. He rose quickly from cadet to agent, driven by ruthless efficiency and an intuitive grasp of deception, identity, and the psychology of masks.
Orvak's ambitions are threefold. He wants a purpose that reaches beyond Zolan's isolation, a life that matters in the larger galactic story. He seeks mastery over himself and his gift, believing Clawdites can be more than feared infiltrators, they can be indispensable guardians. Finally, he hopes to reshape the Clawdite reputation, showing the galaxy that shapeshifting can serve truth rather than subterfuge.
-
Orvak prefers to stay in his natural form unless on operation, an unusual choice for a Clawdite, but one he believes counters the stereotype of deceptive living.APPEARANCE
