Description: Wanting a less direct way to deal with Sith by way of thinning their numbers and perhaps interrogation, Mia began designs for a high tech facility. In order to keep it automated an AI was required to maintain the facility and run the programs involved with capturing intruders.
Ori'vod is self sufficient and adaptable. It’s main function is to control systems allowing for places and ships to become fully automated. It’s secondary function is the protection of its maker and her allies. Provided it has been uploaded into a facilities systems, control of them is easy. It cannot however, take control of anything it has not been manually uploaded into.
Each Ori’vod copy is unique. They have no automated link between them and data can only be shared if data is physically downloaded from one and uploaded to another. The reason for this is to ensure their isn’t a traceable link should one of them become compromised. In the event of being compromised, and automated message is sent to advise the maker and the system shuts down, giving the appearance of a self destruct while protecting its data. Such action allows Mia to come and deal with the matter personally.
It can resist a skilled slicer for up to fifteen minutes, time enough to get a signal out and shut down. It cannot be controlled by a slicer, only overcome. Untested against a more powerful AI, simulations have shown that resistance time would be reduced to around five minutes.
The Ori’vod has minimal data on various people, allowing them to mimic faces and personalities of some people Mia knows. Each Ori’vod has a different personality, sometimes flicking between them depending on the systems humour.
