He knew that without the proper equipment he wouldn't stand a chance against [/SIZE][SIZE=14.6666669845581px]something[/SIZE][SIZE=11pt] as powerful as the lightsaber. With an eye to function and [/SIZE][SIZE=14.6666669845581px]keeping[/SIZE][SIZE=11pt] with an [/SIZE][SIZE=14.6666669845581px]aesthetically[/SIZE][SIZE=11pt] pleasing look to it, Orick had a pair of swords fashioned not just for him, but for his wife [/SIZE][SIZE=14.6666669845581px]Anastasia[/SIZE][SIZE=11pt] as well. Even [/SIZE][SIZE=14.6666669845581px]though[/SIZE][SIZE=11pt] she was a force user, and carried a lightsaber, he intended on giving her a backup weapon to ensure that the same trick to short out her lightsaber couldn't be successfully applied to her. The properties of the durasteel make it an effective sword, but the cortosis plating makes it more effective against lightsabers. A force user could block blaster bolts with the sword if they focused on [/SIZE][SIZE=14.6666669845581px]doing[/SIZE][SIZE=11pt] [/SIZE][SIZE=14.6666669845581px]so[/SIZE][SIZE=11pt], but otherwise it is an average sword in most respects.[/SIZE]
