skin, bone, and arrogance
The B-7 light freighter Cranberry Cocktail zipped into hyperspace and its pilot, Evelin Redstar, took a moment to relax in the seat. This was going to be a long night. She watched the hypnotic mottle of hyperspace for several long moments, going over the plan in her head. The risk was worth the reward, if they came away with even half the swag she knew was there. After a few minutes, she stood and strode from the bridge into the crew lounge, using the intercom to summon [member="Nyx"], [member="Nara Basaar"], [member="Ash Verd"], and [member="Zamza Ra'Kira"]. When the group was assembled, she sat at he video entertainment table and activated the holo.
"Sorry," she said with an apologetic smile. "I'm still trying to get a handle on the whole briefing people thing, so I hope you don't mind if I practice on you lot." Without further discussion, she activated the entertainment table. A large, slowly-rotating image of Herevan Hold appeared over the table.
"This is Herevan Hold, the ancestral home of the Fortan family, and if that name sounds familiar, it's because that's the name of the First Order's highest ranking government official after the Supreme Commander himself -- Natasi Fortan." She paused for a moment and studied the image. "The castle is built over a waterfall, with large intake tunnels underneath, feeding water into the hydroelectric plant, here." She indicated on the image where the central tunnel was. "There's access to the castle there, and we have the codes." She held up a slip of paper with the digits written.
It was best, for the moment, to gloss over how she knew the codes, or the following information: "We know Governor Fortan is in the capital, and the lord of the estate is serving active duty. We have reason to believe the staff -- servants, and all but a token security team -- are away from the estate at a festival. So, what are we going for?" Evelin lofted her eyebrows. "We're going to rob the joint. Not only does it present intelligence opportunities, but there's a lot there to steal and fence to fund Resistance efforts. Art, jewelry, silverware, clothes, et cetera."
"So," the Princess continued. "I'll drop you here." She indicated the small ledge under the central tunnel. "Land the freighter here," she indicated a large central courtyard on the schematics. "You'll make your way up to the entry doors here, in the main hall, and let me in, and we'll get a repulsorcart each, grab what we can, and get out before sunrise. Any questions?"
