Intent: With many factions creating their own ships and technology, I feel that it would be a decent idea for the Hutt Cartel to have a string of ships and weapons unique to the faction as well as available on the blackmarket. This will be the first of a series of tech submissions aimed to fleshing out a Hutt Fleet. While Wookieepedia does have a few Hutt affiliated ships listed, the specs for them are not readily available and it is hardly as extensive as that of the Republic's and Empire's. I hope that by making these ships, the Hutt Cartel can legitimately use some sort of unique fleet while also giving writers specific numbers to use when fleeting.
This entry will fill the role of a patrol cruiser.

Description: While not the prestige of the Hutt Fleet, the Ootmian-class Star Frigate was a critical part of the Hutt Cartel's well being. Designed to be cheap in both cost and crew necessary, this allowed the Hutts - still crippled by the effects of the Gulag Plague - to be able to pay for the mass production of these frigates. The Cartel would then use them in order to protect its precious and usually high valued cargo as it traveled with freighters across the Hutt Space.
When used for military operations, the Ootmian-class Star Frigate would frequently escort much larger capital ships and serve as a decent anti-star-fighter vessel for the capital ship. The Hutts preferred to use their Star Frigate for its original purpose of being a cheap patrol cruiser, though.
