One Bad Man (INVITE ONLY!)

Sitting at the bar of the cantina, he took a quick swig from a bottle of rum. Clutched in his left hand was a lit cigarillo. As he slumped up against the bar, he sighed. The cantina was practically empty and his Droid companion was nowhere in sight. Whistling quietly to himself, he raised the cigarillo placing it in his mouth for a moment to quickly puff on it, before removing it to blow out thick, grey smoke over the bar. The cantina was silent and the only sound was the sound of rain tapping against the windows.

Tadietti was dressed in one of her usual long flowing blue gowns, veiled and her face masked, and you could as usual only see her mouth, which at this moment had a long elegant stick of something coming out of it ready to be smoked. When you saw Tadietti in a bar or cantina, she was never alone, the twi’lek could shoot but you’d never see her use a gun, it was always one of the ten or more minions that hovered around her. She had her own table, a large reptilian houk with the strength of a wookie on one side of her, six trandoshans in another booth next to her, and one or two weequays working the crowd in her employ.

This was one of many cantinas she was hoping to make a move on for the hutt cartel, first she had to have a quiet word with the owner, hoping he'd respond to a soft word in his ear, but probably not. She wanted to puff on her stick, but then realised she lacked a light.

Rain tapping outside… became the tap tap tap of her footsteps as she walked to the bar, flanked by most of her muscle, the hulking houk the biggest by far.

“Be reasonable,” she pressed a finger to the barman's nose, “I dislike commotion.”

There as a gulp from the barman, and one of the mercs clicked his neck.

She leaned over to pavor, “have a light?” Was all she said, while the barman opposite them decided whether he wanted this the easy way or the hard way, Tadi didn’t usually attend her little errands, but today was special, because someone else had caught her eye as a potential candidate for her employers. He sat there in silence upon hearing the woman enter. It was not the woman that intimidated him, it was the goddamn mercenaries surrounding her. Slowly, he cleared his throat and reached up to remove the cigarillo from his mouth for a moment. Pausing for a moment, he opened his mouth to blow a thick cloud of smoke up towards the ceiling to have it swept away by the ceiling fan. He then slowly set his gaze upon the woman. He stared at her for a moment, not saying a word before he slowly and hesitantly slid his hand into one of the many pockets on his denim vest before he removed a lighter, flicking the top back and offering it to the woman. He then glanced back to the wall, before proceeding to puff on the cigarillo.

Taking the light, “thank you,” she mouthed to the stranger, and tuned back, smoking her mild spice stick, letting the lighthead touched it gave her settle in, hmmm. The barman shook his head, and she sighed, why was it always the hard way?

Nodding to one of the mercenaries he pulled a gun, which meant two of the bar's guards did, but before they could, the weequay’s she had working the crowd had them disabled or knocked down winded, and it was over before it had begun, people barely even noticed what had happened as only a few were looking over. Groans from the two bouncers laying winded or unconscious on the floor nearby, was all that was left.

Gun to the barmans head, the transdoshan looked at her, but she rested her hand on his wrist, so he lowered his weapon. “I disliked doing that, I would dislike letting them shoot you, but I would really dislike going home empty handed.” She let that word be highlighted poignantly.

“Okay. Okay. I’ll pay.”

“Okay, that was easy. Wasn’t it? Let’s get back to being friends.” She smiled beneath her veil, smoking and then looking to Pavor. “Sorry about that, may I sit?” She looked through her veil, her eyes barely visible to the stranger.

The crowds went back to drinking, and the barman had a sigh of relief, the trandoshans standing around Pavor’s table were however keeping careful watch in case any other surprises were nearby. It seemed the large reptilian houk with her was already pulling out a chair but Tadietti was waiting for the invitation all the same.

Finally, he slowly opened his mouth and removed the cigarillo, sighing loudly. He then turned to the woman and began to speak. "Look...why the hell did you just do that?" He asked, staring at the woman with a calm expression and continued to speak in a calm tone. "I actually happen to enjoy stoppin' 'ere for a drink or two...and then...then...this." He continued to stare at the woman and the large mercenaries, before raising the cigarillo once more, placing it in his mouth. He then continued speaking, his words slurred by the cigarillo clutched in his mouth as he spoke. "So, anyway...how 'bout you give half them credits back...and I won't have to draw a blaster. Sound good?" He asked, staring at the woman with no expression on his face, running his left hand through his beard.

Tadi’etti took a step back protectively, resting her hands to her hips, toward her carried protection, and giving a casual smile, “they owe money.” The houk however had a low growl, they were not known for their temper control, and she had to give him a look tapping the muscled reptilian with the back of her hand, and shaking her head slightly, which was enough to calm him, “business.” Her smile said, “my employers needed re-compensating.” She tilted her head slightly, strapped lekku moving beneath her veil, after today they'd have a stake in the bar, that's why the cartel was here anyway, she had a personal errand.

However he had drawn one or two of her associates attention, it seemed threatening her was not all together wise, but for now they were holding back, because she was in charge, “We had hoped to hire you again, we have need of your expertise,” She dropped that last line lightly, she knew he’d done a year’s smuggling for the hutts before, but needed to make sure she'd got the right man.

She didn’t elude to who, or what, leaving him to work that out. He looked like he could handle himself, and that was something the hutts always looked for, if he was the man she'd been sent to find anyway.

HK 42 entered the building, walking over dead Bar Bouncers, most likely Clauditis' handiwork, only to find a woman sitting by his table, surrounded by Mercs. HK 42 walked up to the table, and managed to fit in the only gap he could get through in between the mercs.

"Inquiry: Ah, Clauditis, so good to find you here...I take it the dead guards were your work?"

"Statement: Or are they the Meatbags work? with her bigger Meatbags?"

HK 42 would be obviously referring to the female and her Mercs as Meatbags, as he takes a seat next to [member="Pavor Clauditis"] with his rifle on his back. [member="Tadi'etti"]

He stared at her blankly, he then slowly glanced back to HK. "Eh...do me a favor real fast....Leave. Now." He said, before turning back to the woman. He removed the cigarillo from his mouth for a moment. "Expertise? Uh...you see, there is...I..." He suddenly paused for a moment...then calmly placed the cigarillo back in his mouth. "As I was sayin'. How do ya know my field of expertise? And the whole Hutt thing...I don' like it when I don't receive answers. So, 'ere is the thing. Tell these large, rather intimidating men right 'ere that if they could knock their whole act the hell off I'd be much more friendly. Oh, but you know, the whole bartender thing..." He stopped to clear his throat, chuckling to himself. "Ah...just tell me the goddamned job, aight?" He said, chuckling to himself.

"Statement: very well. I'll be outside, so let me know if you need assistance"

HK 42 immediately gets up from the table and leaves, staying outside of the Cantina until Clauditis needs him inside

Nodding to the mercenaries who took a step back, she did herself however and moved to a barstool opposite folding one leg atop another, the large houk stood angled to the side of her, which gave the whole table a lot more room. Instead now the guards were blocking view around them all, and giving them a bit more privacy.

“They will be alright with a night’s rest, probably,” she smiled to the droid, smoking away on her own brand of spice, the HK soon left and the meeting became more private again.

“Be a dear and turn up their music in your other rooms,” she said to their barman, who grudgingly complied, screening more of their talk from others, leaving only their room free of noise. Her mercenary’s glares now focused on anyone who got too close instead, escorting them away.

How did she know about him? “Because my employer has heard of your work on Corellia,” she didn’t outright come and say she was working for hutts in a public place, but it was either obvious by now or close enough, “let’s get started on a better foot, another drink for him,” she smiled to the barman, as a free drink was poured for Pavor.

“We need someone who can move items, with no questions asked. More credits than you’ve seen so far, maybe some ships in it for you,” so what was the catch? Risks of course, but he’d probably know that. “Either a lot or a few, your choice,” she scratched her lip with her finger as she smoked, “interested?”

[member="Pavor Clauditis"]

"Yes...but I'd like to ask for one simple thing..." He cleared his throat, then removed the cigarillo and placed it in a nearby ashtray. "I want weapons installed on my Freighter. That's all I ask for...Oh! And my fair share of credits, of course!" He said, gripping onto the glass of alcohol and raising it to take a quick drink. "Is this acceptable?" He'd ask calmly.

(Sorry for short post!)

Tadi’etti who by now had a martini shaped glass resting in between her fingers, with some fizzing purple liquid in it, let her lekku lean, “I can arrange that.” She said with a killer smile, Tadietti was, if she ever showed her face, beautiful, but with the veil the world would never know it, except that smile that sometimes knocked another woman off her feet, not that she’d ever let them get too close… you can’t trust anyone too far.

“Play your cards right and you’ll earn a lot more than a few credits and some weapons,.” he’d need ships plural to smuggle, if he wanted them, or just a nice upgrade for his own, nothing was out of reach, “risks but rewards.” She took another drink, pulling out a small holocard, “this is my club red fifteen, Nar Shaddaa, send me a wave when you are ready, or just come, and ask for lady blue.” Placing her spice stick across her glass, she turned to leave, extending out a small hand before she did. “There’ll tell you who you need to talk to.” Meaning he could find where the hutts were based now and go for a meeting himself if he wanted to.

Never need apologize for a post size, write whatever you like and have fun doing. :) I am off to bed after this one. Thank you so far, been fun. You can assume he learned about where the hutts are, and / or feel free to join the faction to learn more about them if you like.
