On The Matt

After the battle of Nibelungen and a few other skirmishes against Hand of Light forces, Seras was feeling relatively confident in the abilities she already had combat wise. But what she was not feeling good about was a lack of hand to hand training as well as not having any real training in using her current weapon, a lightsaber staff. She had developed a bit of her own 'style' with the staff, but she needed to fight more in practice with it then she had to truely be able to use it effectively in combat. As for hand to hand, Seras had never really been trained in it before. Sure she knew the basic of how to defend herself in it, but attacking and the like was not something she had been taught. So she went out and found herself one who could teach. As it turned out, the person who suited both tasks rather well was someone she knew vaguely from elsewhere. An Anubian named Skorvek. Seras knew that Anubians tended to regard humans as lesser beings, but this was a person of relative importance. Proving herself to him and being trained by him would both further herself as a warrior as well as her reputation with their troops and the Anubians themselves.

So it was that [member="Skorvek"] would wind up being requested in a training room several days in advance. When the appointed time did come, Seras was there waiting in a simple set of robes, her lightsaber staff resting at her back. She was in simple sparring robes with no ear or the like on, the young woman was here with a purpose and that purpose was clear. To train and expand her skills beyond what they currently were. The look in her single remaining eye showed that. When Skorvet would enter she would do a short bow to him. "Welcome, i am glad to have you here as a teacher." Seras said simply, giving him the proper respect the situation demanded while wondering where they would be starting. Inside the sparring room was an array of various practice weapons, along with matts layed out on the floor. The lighting was set to be relatively low, offering more then enough vision while not being too bright for those practicing inside it.
