IMPERIAL CONFEDERATION
CHOLGANNA,
OUTER RIM TERRITORIES

Sularen sat quietly at the head of the circular conference table as he patiently waited within the confines of a conference room inside the Imperial Center for Military Operations, for the arrival of some of the Imperial Confederation's top naval commanders. As the Confederation prepared itself for the upcoming renewed offensive against the Sith Order in the Thandon Star Cluster, Sularen had arranged for this summit to discuss strategy and tactics in order to set the tone for the offensive and ensure that the Imperial Fleet remained cohesive and efficient when going up against their Sith counterparts.

This was a pivotal in the history of the Imperial Confederation. With conflicts erupting across the galaxy with the Sith Covenant's offensive into the Deep Core against the Galactic Empire and the Mandalorian attack on the Diarchy-controlled world of Yaga Minor, the Confederation had the perfect opportunity to reassert itself in the ever-shifting political landscape of the galaxy. A Victory here in the Thandon Star Cluster would undermine Mandalore's recent diplomatic humiliation of the Confederation and further reinforce it's status as an emergent superpower following it' victories at Atrisia and Lakonia.

Now all the Supreme Commander needed to do was to sit down and wait for his fellow peers to join him as he was eager to see what creative ideas they would have in store when it came with dealing with the Sith. Brosi would be theirs and today's meeting would bring them another step closer towards their ultimate goal of completing Project Tion and bringing forth the ultimate resurgence of Imperialism in the Outer Rim. Long live the Confederation.

Back to Chalganna again, not exactly a straight route from Corvus, but considering the urgency and the importance of the meeting, Amalia had decided not to disappoint the Supreme Commander, or rather not to make him second guess the viability and cooperation of the N&Z. Though she technically did not hold a high rank within the Imperial Confederation's Military, nor technically even in the political sphere, it was more than clear that the Supreme Commander was all too aware of the power standing behind the Governess of Corvus. Sure, the N&Z itself was an immense powerhouse in its own right, but it was that shadow lurking in between the lines of code on every advertisement, the hidden message in every engineering note, the suffocating depth of the N&Z's past which no doubt kept everyone on their toes and smart enough not to dismiss the backing of said corporation.

After all, had they not delivered on the promise to strengthen the productivity of its people? Had they not granted access to arguably some of the most refined and elegant designs in the past decades? had they not utilized their corporate might to safeguard the Imperial Confederations' wealth despite the majority of those resources being funneled back into the military? And were they not in truth, the ones who effectively ran half the assets of the Empire reborn prior to their alliance with the ISA? Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen knew well enough not to cross the N&Z, not when they were in fact a key contributor, and unlike the last time he had thrown his hat in with them... their ambition was useful, their contacts a boon, and their reach a way for the confederation to thrive even in rough times.

Amalia was fully aware of the history between the Supreme Commander and the one who backed her. She was aware of why the Supreme Commander was cautious with the N&Z, but she also knew that the old days were gone, and these days...the Supreme Commander was an asset, a boon to the N&Z just as much as they were to him. After all, despite all his talk, despite all his bluster and showmanship... Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen was a soldier, and a soldier needed war and combat just as much as a company that sold machines of war. And now... there was a possibility to utilize machines of war, expand influence, extoll strength and show the galaxy that when a competent individual is given competent weapons...they could rule the galaxy.

With a devious, expectant smile momentary tracing upon her face, the Governess of Corvus left the shuttle which had brought her to Cholganna, having preferred to take a standard military issue vessel over the military vessels which as part of the operation at hand, where docked at Bescane for their final fittings. As soon as the doors to the conference room slid open, Amalia slammed her heels together and saluted the Supreme Commander. "Lord Commander, I see I am the first to arrive besides yourself...good. There will be a few things that need to be discussed with urgency."

Calin ran his hand through his hair as he stalked down the hallways towards the briefing room where Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen was no doubt waiting for him. The last time Calin attended a meeting regarding the Sith and the fleet, he felt not enough had happened that would change the structure of the Imperial Navy which would change their fate when they met the Sith again. Hopefully this meeting would put his mind at ease so when they invaded Brosi for the second time, they would crush the Sith, and not be beaten back.

Calin walked down the corridors of the Imperial Center for Military Operations and looked at his datapad as he did, going over his fleet formations and final preparations. Even now, before the meeting, he was sending requisitions and orders for troops, food, ammo, and all manner of things from maintenance to approving, or denying in most cases, of vacation leave. It wasn't until the door to the conference chamber loomed large above him that Calin put his datapad away.

He adjusted his uniform before placing his code cylinder in the door, waiting for it to slide open on well used motors. Calin caught the tail end of words drifting through the door as he walked in.

"Commander," Calin said sharply, saluting, before addressing the other member in the room, " Amalia Visconti | Mira Rhory Amalia Visconti | Mira Rhory ," he said her name simply, a subtle show of respect as he sat down. He placed his datapad on the table and waited for the other members of the meeting to show.

FLEET ADMIRAL VORIN ZONILL
[REDACTED]
CHOLGANNA

Fleet Admiral Vorin Zonill could scarcely believe the position that he had found himself in.

Just a couple of weeks ago, he had been forced to retreat in shame from the battlefield, worried about how other might view his alleged act of cowardice, even if his actions did contribute to the overall Imperial victory. Since then, all of his worries had been put to rest, thanks to a personal meeting with Supreme Commander Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen , and Zonill had begun to allow himself to enjoy the fruits of his labor and the successes that such efforts had brought with it.

Yet, he could not rest on his laurels, for the Galaxy at large remained in Chaos. Between the likely collapse of the revived Galactic Empire, the feuding and escalating tensions between the Diarchy and the Mandalorian Empire, and the Imperial Confederation's soon to be renewed offensive against the Sith Order, Zonill had a lot on his place that he had to deal with. That was probably one of the reasons why he had been summoned back to Cholganna, to discuss the state of the galaxy and it affairs with the Confederation's best and brightest minds.

Though things were looking grim, Zonill couldn't help but feel confident, strutting into the room as if he owned the place. He greeted all those present, acknowledging Amalia Visconti | Mira Rhory Amalia Visconti | Mira Rhory , Calin Rakel Calin Rakel and of course the Supreme Commander himself before he found his seat, eager to discuss what was to come for the Confederation and the galaxy itself at large...

One by one, the senior officials entered the room joining the Supreme Commander for the summit that would soon begin. Every single one of them had served the Confederation with distinction with a dozen of battles already under their belt, the most prominent one being the Battle of Atrisia against the Galactic Empire, which exposed the true combat capabilities of the Confederation after Brosi. Their experience and their skills would be vital for the upcoming offensive which itself was crucial for the future of the Confederation.

While it did appear that the Exarch was running late, the presence of Governor Visconti and Admirals Rakel and Zonill alone was enough to start the meeting as Sularen was certain that von Strauss would arrive shortly afterward and wouldn't miss the key topics of today's summit. As such once the Governor and the two Admirals took their seats, Sularen rose up speaking up to begin today's vital meeting.

"Thank you for coming on such short notice." he began. "As you know we are on the eve of our upcoming second offensive against the Sith in the Thandon Cluster, a military operation that will secure the future of the Confederation and prove our strength to those who view us as weak and vulnerable." he proclaimed. "Every single one of you have already served the Confederation with distinction. You have the experience and the skills that will be the key towards our continued success."

"This is why i have called for this summit. So that we can lay out the groundwork for a general strategy that will facilitate our success in the upcoming operation, more specifically in the naval theatre when confronting the naval forces of the Sith Order for control over the Florrum Hypergate."

The others came in one by one, each people of great distinction, mainly military contrary to Amalia, but still all respected even in political circles. on the one hand there was the absolute beast of a man, the ruthless and extremely pragmatic Calin Rakel Calin Rakel who was seen as one of the potential successors to the Supreme Commander, on the other hand there was Fleet Admiral Zonill, a proponent of surprise tactics and innovation in the field. Lastly the Supreme Commander himself, one whose name was visible in several of the old documents of the N&Z, whose initial shame against her master was expunged by a lithany of victories in the service of the New Imperial Order and the Maw, whose records showed a silent brilliance in the form of persistence and a near zealoutous approach to military doctrine and discipline.

Greeting the others with a respectful nod, standing up as they entered and awaiting them to be seated before she herself would settle herself in her chair again, the governor of Corvus had two main ambitions with the current planning. If they'd achieve victory, she wished to expand the political power the N&Z held within the Imperial Confederation by commissioning the position of moff for herself and to have an approved member of the admiralty be promoted to run the sector fleet within the N&Z sphere of influence.

"As I see it, unlike the last approach, which ended in a retreat," Amalia calmly raised her hand in order to demand the floor, despite the fact she had already begun talking. "What you missed last time was a unified command, but also the ability to counter the typical sith strategies with such things as full automation of vessels and resistant crews. There was also a severe lack of oppressive fire power and too much focus on large vessels without actual support."

Clearing her throat, she reached for the datapad in her breastpocket and activated it, utilizing its holographic display to show the numbers of the last few engagements. "The Imperial Confederation has been hemorhaging credits in a way too large variety of ships, while it is no doubt in the greatest interest to have variety, too much can be detrimental for the overall combining of fleets in the long run, as was decided with the latest change in our naval doctrine. That aside, as it does not make any difference to the current set up... I propose we make sure to have a focus on both cruisers and carriers as the main stay of this battle, to utilize numbers and overwhelming firepower. Ofcourse I predict that our most powerful flagships will also have a role to play."
