Hey, so can't do much till a day or two after christmas (they're closing the site anyway) and I can't respond again tonight. BUT! I do think I can offer some threads to you. While this character is not in fact a Jedi, he is deeply steeped in the lightside as part of the master of the Baran Do Sages on Dorin. He has always been a very non-violent person, although he is probably good at it. I actually have had almost zero fighting against other characters for him, almost everythread he has been in has been training. Whether learning or just some kind of visiting or something I can go. He's very kind and friendly. He knows a few worthwhile force powers but purely non-violent would be:
Telepethy
Meditation
Visions
Increasing the senses
Awareness
Force whirlwind if you count that as non-violent, it really can be used to catch someone and keep them disoriented really.
He heavily encourages negotiations before actual combat.
I have one other light sider who might fit that:
Funo Civ: A jedi Master as a part of a small group recently made. He's also pretty friendly actually, and has a good focus on non-combative means. In fact I set up him so that, while a master and a good fighter, his focus comes more often to mechanics/ship related stuff and skills that any traveller/helper could have like being multi-lingual (with the advantage of Comprehend Speech force power). He'd probably be willing to help Zahd out as well. Though he has less time to extensive teaching as compared to Xos, who basically lives to teach. I have a tendency to put a characters job before their force powers except for a few, as in they could do it without the force. Funo takes the role of a traveling researcher in a sense. He's very knowledgable about a lot of topics and knows a lot about cultures, languages, and keeping his ship and equipment running.
Non force related stuff:
Kat Kenrid: Maybe just meet in a cantina? Little talking? Unless you want some kind of fight to occur. She's a Falleen wearing the Mandalorian armor of a woman who freed her from slavery, but ended up dying later in her life. Kat took it up and became a smuggler/mercenary/bounty hunter. Happens to be force sensitive, but I have in fact never used that...at all, as she doesn't know.
Rocho Krul: Similair to above in regards to situations. He's a bit more capable of violence though. He's trained in the force, though after he had already been a hunter and a soldier for awhile. He's a Trandoshan so his culture kind of requires hunting. But he's still fairly friendly in spite of probably being intimidating being armed with a shotgun, a grenade launcher, sometimes a sniper or hunter rifle, and a lightsaber axe (though it usually looks like a cane, he is quite clearly not needing it). He's also huge compared to most humans, which probably helps that intimidation factor.
Tasha Blackmoor: Ok maybe this one could work in force related stuff to, just depends. She's a former jedi padawan, got captured by slavers for a year, escaped and went on a rampage against them. Realized she was falling to the dark and so stole a ship and returned to her parents on alderaan. Kept practicing combat and the force but never went back to the jedi. Started a business. Occasionally still went after slavers. Now she did in fact go back to a Jedi group recently in the Grayson Imperium, which is very against the dark side. She's one of my more scarred characters and has trouble meditating, she's a fantastic combatant and fairly smart, but the one year screwed up what little meditative ability she did have. You're not as likely to run into her unless you're on Alderaan, buying some of her tech (she sells weapons and armor mostly. The ones I've actually submitted are an environmental armor that turns out good against lightsabers, a sonic blaster, and an energy shield for the arm, all of which she uses), or if maybe you end up in the Grayson Imperium.
I have more characters but I think some of these work best.
