Private Oh Leeroy...

Roon.

Isolated and remote home of the Sith. At least it had been over a Millenium ago. Now with its Cloak of the Sith torn from its housing the world still saw only the occasional treasure hunter, but some Jedi believe that the Sith still lingered there...The year is 660 ABY and the Gulag Plague still ravages much of the Galaxy. The Hutts having long since closed off their sectors of space to the Galaxy have caused a heavy shift in the underworld that the Jedi of the Galactic Alliance, now one of the main peacekeeping forces left in the Galaxy, have been left to pick up the pieces. However when word of a massive creature that commanded dozens of twisted and mutilated thralls, a task force of Jedi Knights and Masters is sent to the ancient Sith world to contain the threat. Thinking it a leftover Sithspawn from the ancient days of the Sith they come woefully underprepared. It is winter on Roon now and the great Roon Sea has fallen and frozen, revealing what appears to be a great citadel...The Jedi enter, lightsabers drawn...

Morteg, now a well-seasoned Knight in the Jedi Order walked beside his former master, Zil Su. Plodding along beside the giant Jedi made feel even smaller than usual with a single stride of hers equaling five or six of his own. She looked down at him, her sunken purple eyes glittering in delight. Master Su always did love these sorts of expeditions. She said it took her mind off of her endless work of searching for a cure to the Gulag Plague and Morteg had begun to wonder if she really could enjoy anything for much longer than a decade. Su was a rarity of her species. Born from the genetic fiddling of the Kaminoans, she was created to propagate her species who had been on the decline since the legendary Clone Wars. Gifted with a lifespan that far exceeded that of most species, she theorized that if left to her own devices and, Force willing, she would live as long, if not longer than Morteg himself. A miscalculation, however, had granted her the power of the Force and eventually Su's own curiosity led her to the ways of the Jedi. She'd been a good teacher, if not a bit strict with her lessons, and because of her training Morteg now stood proudly as a Knight of the Order, fighting back raiders and Omni remnants across the Galaxy. He'd even had a padawan since then and she had performed her duties to the Force without hesitation, though the Plague had taken her.

A gust of wind blew over the Jedi party, sending their cloaks billowing in the icy chill. There were a dozen of them for this mission, which meant the Council and Master Su weren't telling them something. The Citadel on the frozen sea was large, black, and engraved with Sith markings. Master Su waved a hand, calling on the Force to swing the doors open and the squad of Jedi lept through the opening, lightsabers activated, illuminating the dark room with a rainbow of color. Morteg's ears twitched as a familiar sound reached them and a sense of danger pickled his neck. The low hum of vibroweapons.

A large Cathar Master walked in beside Master Su and sniffed the air, lightsaber in hand but not lit.

"The air, smells wrong....Dead." It was more than a smell. That language had been an ancient Sith dialect, which meant they were indeed dealing with something Sith. The Cathar's yellow lightclub activated with a heavy snap-hiss, illuminating the giant weapon and swung it's blade through the air above his head, bisecting a humanoid creature that had attempted to get the jump on the Jedi battlemaster. He growled as dozens more slid from rafters around them. The ensuing melee was bloody with several of the Jedi losing their lives but ultimately the creatures had been killed. An hour went by as the Jedi searched the citadel. Morteg found these things tedious and boring. He much preferred the fighting part of being a Jedi than the archeology part, or even the peacekeeping part. He longed to be like Grandmaster Teferi, leading the charge against Sith and Droid alike.

"Morteg," came Master Su's voice, "Come here a moment." Morteg did as he was told and walked over to the large painting his master was standing in front of. "Help me move this, there seems to be some sort of internal latch, but we don't have time to search. I need your strength to rip it from its hinges." Morteg's ears perked up and he rubbed his hands together with a smirk and nodded. Together the pair reached out with the Force and ripped the painting from the wall to reveal a panel with a single button. Without waiting Su pressed it and a hiss came from their left. Su activated her glow rod and crawled into the human-sized hole, slouching as she walked down the stairs.

"Master Su!" Morteg called, but when she didn't respond he let a Corellian curse that would have gotten him toilet duty and followed his old Master down the steps. It wasn't long before he realized why his Master hadn't responded. She was kneeling in a treasure trove of Dark Side artifacts. It was so thick that it made him sick to his stomach.

"Morteg....This is...This find is incredible! There's more Sith texts and holocrons here than three, no four dozen Bogan Collections!" A sense of danger ran up his spine.

"Master we should really-" And then it came, a sharp pain through the Force and a physical shudder as the entire citadel shook sending dust and debris floating into the air. "Master that was," Master Su's eyes were wide with terror and the two of them raced up the stairs to find...The entire Citadel gone. The ice had been cracked and now gaps large enough for starships to fall through sloshed with freezing salt water. Half a dozen Jedi were strewn about with the others entirely unaccounted for save for blood splatters or stray limbs and cloaks. The Togorian was the only one somewhat standing. He kneeled on one knee, a large chunk of Obsidian stuck through his left arm and blood trickling down his forehead.

"By the Force...."

She sensed the strangers the moment they had set foot on the ice. Their minuscule feet tapped away at the thick sheet, ignorantly sending reverberations through the water just below. She had drifted alongside them with each step they took. Concealed below the layer of snow and masked by the wickedness already ingrained on Roon. She stalked the intruders, curiously waiting for their intent to come into plain view.

She wasn't surprised when they cut down her followers, poor cultists all of them. They'd wished for scarcely more than to serve a more exalted being and had ultimately they relinquished everything for her sake. Her titanic heart nearly felt for the pygmy creatures. If nothing else they had served her well in the creation of her sanctum, though its whaladon accessibility was sorely lacking.

It wasn't until the intruders found their way to her prized discoveries that she took a genuine interest in their presence. Looters then, she figured. Come to take away the artefacts of knowledge she had so labouriously collected. If all they wished was to rob her only belongings, then there was nothing but to show them their error's gravity.

From the deepest and darkest corner of the lake, she began her charge. Untold amounts of water were displaced as she picked up speed with each monumental motion of her fins. By the time her hazy vision could see the surface again she was racing towards the surface at an alarming velocity.

The wind whistled quietly above the ice, gentle snow brushed over the black stone fortress, covering it in a soft blanket of white. One thunderous crack later and half the fortress was missing; large parts were either destroyed entirely or crumbling to pieces as they lacked their integral support structures. Debris was flung high into the air as Pteron broke through the surface, stone projectiles crashing through the ice many metres from where they had once stood. Many of the intruders had been swept up in the initial burst, crushed or disappeared into the whaladon's deadly maw. She lingered in the air for a brief moment as gravity stopped her ascent, only to crash down again. As she disappeared beneath the black water she brought the rest of the fortress with her as the ice crumbled and broke in large sections.

Her heart leapt with excitement. It had been ages since she'd felt a rush of excitement like this. Though it didn't occur very commonly, she delighted in the rare opportunities to tear lesser beings to bits.
