The Rishi Maze.

The last time Quinn had come out this way, she had lost something valuable; she had lost the piece of herself that would never return. While her return to the dwarf satellite galaxy was for other purposes, she couldn't help but let her eyes linger on the floating debris of Exegol. It was almost cathartic staring at the floating rocks, the masses that had once been buildings, an homage to the dark side.

She wondered if she could still feel the lingering essence after all this time. It would be foolish to get her hopes up; it had been years at this point. Quinn had grown, moved on from the fumbling teenager who had run as fast as her feet could carry her. She had become something more than the girl who had searched for the hand to carry her through.

Quinn was now a Queen, an Heir to something greater than herself… she had become what they were supposed to become, together.

Her lips parted as a small plume of white fog escaped. She hated this part of space; it was cold and haunting. She longed for their heat, a burning passion that was suitable for Typhojem's living vessel.

<: Kamino, 12 minutes till arrival. :>

The voice echoed over the intercoms, and Quinn closed her eyes, giving Vesta's memory just one more thought. She had other priorities today, something better than to wallow in her loss.

Kamino's surface, abandoned facility.

The storm cloud was thick above them, and the rain drowned any thought as they stood on the old landing pad. The guards who had come with them remained on the ship; they were a liability to what Quinn was going to teach her Apprentice.

Eira had grown; despite her behavior, she had made something of herself. The woman had become a strong representation of the power the Echani herself could wield, and today, she would only become stronger. Eira had an affinity for Force Lightning, something that many Sith could do, but not like Eira could.

She valued the Apprentice and knew that it was finally time to truly test her skills.

"Kamino is a world of storms," she looked over at Eira. The comment was obvious, and she half-expected the girl to respond to it. They had grown close; if anyone was to be considered Quinn's friend, it would be the girl beside her.

"Manifesting the Storm is easy, controlling it — that's the hard part." She nodded, watching as a thick bolt of lightning raked across the dark clouds.

"I'm going to teach you control, find the core of the storm, feel its heart beat in tune with your own. While you are controlling it, let the storm flow through you as a conduit… you're the anchor."

Quinn watched, deciding she should show the girl what she meant. While Eira was a quick learner, this was something far advanced that even some Sith Lords couldn't comprehend. To ask an Apprentice was like asking the Force itself to manifest life…

It was possible, and so was Eira's success.

Exhaling softly, Quinn allowed the quiet pulse of her force presence to grow, almost roaring to life as the clouds above them began to swirl. Lightning began to shift, cutting through the sky at her behest. The control of the Echani was evident as the skies not only darkened, but began to bleed red. The signature of the Crimson Crown of Eshan.

Another few moments, and the Master relinquished the control of the storm. The darkness faded, leaving the grey storm clouds thundering above them.

"Focus first on control, finding a way to shift the way the clouds move — then find the lightning, make it breathe and bend to your will…"

Then

Eira stared at the message, Quinn had organised a training lesson for Eira. There was a mix of emotions, all positive though she felt a little pressure to perform the best that she could. It had been a while since Eira last demonstrated her growing skills to Quinn. The young apprentice was constantly desiring the ability to impress her Master. To strive to live up to the status that Quinn had placed upon Eira. While Eira was always fearing that she was a disappointment to Quinn, not living up to the skills and presence that her Master held. That her Master had held while an apprentice herself. Eira wanted to do better, be better, not just for herself but also for Quinn.

But other thoughts and blurred feelings were crossing her own mind now. Cerys had returned. Not just returned but Cerys was a Jedi. Of course her perfect beloved sister would have become a Jedi. But it irritated Eira more and she was feeling more enraged and less controlled than ever before. Eira wanted to storm the High Republic raze it in eternal flames of her fury and make them all suffer for allowing her sister to become a Jedi. There was no forgiveness and she was going to ensure they all suffered for their evils.

Unfortunately, Eira could not muster the strength in herself and within the Sith to lead an invading force to begin her personal desires to burn the High Republic. That wasn't out of the question, but Eira needed to grow stronger and she needed to work on her ability to utilise the Force and harness it in the ways that Eira had always sought out. While she became more of an assassin to fight and defend Quinn, where Eira's core interest in the Sith ways and the Force was utilising it and harnessing the Force in ways that no Jedi would be able to match.

Looking back at the message once again, Eira felt the pressures once again, she felt the excitement once again. "Let's do this." Eira muttered to herself and grabbed her clothes and prepped for the trip to Kamino, unsure what the climate of the planet was going to be. However, Eira assumed it was going to be a world that was pleasant and probably warm. She didn't think that Quinn would want to take her somewhere miserable or constantly raining. That would be far too depressing for a training session.

Now

The raining poured constantly, heavily, down on Eira. While the temperatures were not freezing, the rain made it feel colder than it was. Eira was not sure why Quinn would want to bring Eira here. It seemed so opposite of a world that Eira believed that Quinn wanted to be in. The training outfit that Eira wore had little benefits to being on during the rain. Hearing Quinn comment that Kamino was a world of storms, Eira raised an eyebrow, "oh? I just thought we were here on a bad day." There was a deep level of sarcasm in Eira's tone but playful, teasing, in nature. Eira was close with Quinn and enjoyed the comforts as well as the bonds that they held. One of the few connections that Eira had stopped pursuing romance bonding or attempting to sexualise.

Eira needed someone who was just a friend and could not be seduced by her, especially with a mentor figure.

Control.

Controlling the storm... Eira looked up at the clouds, seeing the cracking of lightning across the skies. Feeling the electrical energy not just in the air around her, but vibrating through the Force. Lightning was the one Force ability that Eira felt a natural affinity towards, it was the first power she had used and it was one that Eira enjoyed to use. However, Eira felt a block with the ability, only increasing her power with the Force to increase the power that the lightning could do. Quinn had shown other skills, other ways to use lightning and the Force that Eira was keen on learning. And it seemed that control was the first lesson, it made sense and Eira was eager to demonstrate that she could do such things.

However, there was a voice of doubt. A voice that sounded all too similar to Cerys. A voice that stated that Eira barely controlled her own emotions. How could she ever hope to control a wild storm...?

Watching as Quinn demonstrated with the practiced ease of a master how one should control the storm, even adding the dramatic blood red flair. There was a look of admiration and awe as Eira watched the demonstration of how the skill is used at the highest levels. Eira nodded her head to Quinn, "control..." Her voice felt a little uncertain, the doubts sounding a lot stronger on this concept than they normally did. Breathing in deeply, "how? It is so wild... a storm... How does one control that?" Eira was opening herself up a little more, revealing her own storm of emotions and the lack of control she felt within as much as she wondered how to control the exterior.
