Of Finance and Wealth

The Cerberus Trade Building, Senate District
Coruscant

The luminous orb of Corusca was hanging low on the horizon as afternoon slowly transformed into early evening. A long day had gone by, filled with endless meetings with businessmen who wanted to take part in the restoration of Coruscant. Zonia's task was to negotiate the terms and see if they wanted something in return, such as exclusivity rights which would have to be carefully considered before being granted. As per Kalranoos' advice, the Alliance was cautious to accept donations without terms and conditions clearly stated. Corporatism lurked around the corner, entwining in tendrils of pro-business was too easy.

Drained and somewhat out of focus, the Prakithan sat in the meeting room of Cerberus Trade Building, clad in a simple gray dress. She had slipped out of her heels under the table, a dozen hours of standing and walking in stilettos giving her aching feet. In all truth, she just yearned for some food and beverage, preferably steak and wine, and a bed to collapse to. Sipping mint tea as she waited for the CEO of Cerberus Corporation, the economist looked over financial records of the company. They were doing surprisingly well, prices of stock soaring after restoration of Coruscant was announced. Zonia always found it ironic that economic upturn always followed a war which she loathed from the very depth of her being.

Just as she sunk into reading corporate news, the door suddenly slid open. Zonia sprung from her seat, almost knocking over the half-empty tea cup. She tucked a loose lock behind her ear that defiantly decided to leave the loose bun assembled at the back of her head.

"Mr.Sonn, it's an honor to finally meet you." she voiced after a quick attempt to make herself as presentable as possible - "I do apologize for such a late meeting. I am sorry to keep you away from home."
Most of office staff already left work, hurrying back to their families. Zonia, on the other hand, had no such obligations, but assumed others, including Fortris did.
