Neesa gently tapped her nail against the table, she had been in that meeting for what seemed like an eternity; All in the name of 'preparing to take over the company,' which she had no intention of doing just yet. She had, of course, been paying attention: Labels here, vocal academy there, a mention of a new theatre- and something about encouraging an artist to sign on with Loroka Entertainment, who had a scheduled appointment on that very day.
She wasn't invited to that conversation, and that suited her fine. With her aging uncle slowly stepping back from his position as Executive Director, there were talks of Neesa stepping up and taking over- a notion that she wasn't quite ready to entertain.
At last, their meeting ended and everyone in attendance shuffled out except Neesa and her uncle, Halamont. She couldn't help but be a little curious about a new artist joining the team, "So, who is it? Anyone I'd recognise?" she asked curiously. "You'd know if you attend more of-" started Halamont. "Oh don't start that again!" she mused, the pair grinning- a facade behind the seriousness of the situation.
"An artist named... N'thony, old school musician, had a one-hit-wonder a few years ago and has since turned to management, I believe?" Halamont continued, in his deep, soothing voice. "Old school..." she wasn't familiar with the artist, she had little interest in the genre herself, "why would he be interested in a 'boutique' company like us?"
"Still much to learn, Neesa. We'll talk tonight, come have dinner- it's been far too long..." he continued, leading Neesa out of the door in preparation for his meeting. "Only if you don't talk about-" and the doors shut before she could finish her sentence.
She huffed in frustration as she made her way back to the lobby, calling for a chauffeur as she did so. After learning she'd have to wait a while, she collapsed into a seat in the lobby, straightening herself up when she noticed some visitors at reception...
