Intent: To create a private market item from the Jedi Artisan's and Sasori
Development Thread:
Model: Stealth Field
Affiliation: Shatory Countermeasures/Sasori
Modularity: Can be slotted into armor
Production: Mass
Material:
  • Hybrid Plexisteel
  • Stygium Crystal
  • No-Show
Description:
Designed by Sheila originally for Armatech and as it moved forward was picked up by Sasori's stealth company and worked on.The original design improved upon by adding a small additional piece in the no show wrist device able to fix the thermal emissions and sound. It doesn't make the device perfect but it does make it improved upon as well as narrowing the manufacturer down into a single company able to produce better results in working with crystals and technology. Her work was on some of the artistry they had done getting more funding to increase work done on it.

The second and main parts of the unit was getting more of it, with help from the jedi grandmaster and from pirates the small As-Aki was able to find more resources to work with the units. Increasing how many things they could produce and how built up the casing was as the lightweight devices were designed for combat units and being on utility belts that could be given to soldiers and stronger units. The casing still has been worked on to improve protection and shielding against blasters with the hybrid plexisteel and the case is worked to protect from water and ion weapons.

Four hours of continual stealth field at minor production, regardless of development concerns me a little. This is purely from a balance perspective.
As a minor production on the market, rather than something attached to a specific NPC sub with their own limitations....

...I would like to see some more clear limitations. Examples would be:

- At this level of production the stealth field is imperfect and can bee seen within ~10metres
- This can only work in thirty second bursts, with a recharge gap in between.

Not seeing a great difference there. How about answering these questions please:

Can you run whilst wearing this?
Would combat stop the field from working?
How perfect is the stealth field? (is it total invisibility?)

I based off the standard base stealth unit, which aside from the infinite power supply maintained the lightbending as long as you moved carefully, running and fighting would deactivate it and ruin the invisibility.

And add the weaknesses explicitly in this submission?

Stealth field generators, alternatively known as stealth generators, were special devices typically worn on belts that saw use primarily around the time of the Jedi Civil War and the years following it. Essentially a portable, personal cloaking device, stealth field generators made their users all but invisible at medium and long ranges; however, a clumsy user could be easily detected in close quarters. Also, unless a master of stealth, the user could not maintain the stealth field while running.

HistoryEdit

"Stealth fields don't fool thermal detonators."
―Torian Cadera[src]

A stealth field did not completely hide its wearer, although spotting it would require awareness and great attention. The location of a stealthed target could be determined by air oscillations, like those from fire, and the presence of a silhouette. Besides, to remain unnoticed, one had to move slowly and silently. However, skilled users of stealth fields could make themselves hard to spot even for defense turrets, and could even run while stealthed.
