APPEARANCE:
Despite being a Human Replica Droid, Oda has opted for a distinctly synthetic appearance, with gray gel-form skin, artificial looking silver hair, and cybernetic golden eyes that glow dimly. Aside from this, he retains the appearance of a seventy year old humanoid, with severe features of a distinctly patrician nature.
CLOTHING:
Oda wears a layered suit of Nanosilk, black in color, under which he wears a white dress tunic of the same material. Besides this, he wears no jewelry, ornaments, or technology, save for a single pin on his lapel depicting three red moons. -
BACKSTORY:
Not much is known about Oda Duun before he became synthetic, as much of his organic life has been purposely scrubbed from databases and records.
It's broadly believed that he was born somewhere in the Corporate Sector, the corporate systems being relatively insulated against the Galaxy's state of constant war due to the ceaseless demand for materials and weapons. At some point in time Oda worked for MerenData at the C-level, where it is believed that he gained access to records detailing Onadax Droid Technologies' method for entechment.
Oda left the Corporate Sector soon after, styling himself as a Terraforming Baron, and investing in multiple longterm investments that would see decades - if not lifetimes - to mature. As the years ticked by, very little profit was actually realized, and Oda Duun's organic body eventually died - but not before Oda transferred himself through entechment into a new body.
Now, nearly a hundred and forty years later, investments have matured, planets have been terraformed, and Oda Duun has set his eyes on ever larger schemes. -
EQUIPMENT:
• Gabonna Brain
A large Gabonna crystal fused with a droid brain, this crystal is encased in condensed-matter composite and inert power insulator.
• Gel-form skin
Skin made of gel-form, a kind of gelatinous plastoid that mimics skin, but can can self-repair and heal. Offers no additional protection over regular skin.
• Biofiber Organs
Fully functional muscles and organs (including respiratory, gastrointestinal, and circulatory) made out of biofiber. While these organs are functional, damage to them will not affect Oda's ability to function, as they are there for social interaction.
• Hadrium Alloy Skeleton
Internal skeleton of Hadrium alloy - extremely hard and resistant to heat, it will stop a lightsaber for a few seconds before cutting through.
• Diatium Power Core
Diatium power core, roughly located in the center of the chest next to Oda's biofiber heart. It is augmented by a backup fusion battery cell.
• Mag-Shielding
Oda's brain and power core are heavily magshielded, protecting against ion and EMP attack.
• Hyperspace Transponder
Located at the base of the skull, Oda is equipped with a hyperspace transponder capable of tightbeam burst transmissions. This device backs up Oda's memories and personality, and can broadcast Oda's life essence via broadcast in an emergency. -
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
Human Replica Droid
(+) Synthetic:
As a Human Replica Droid, Oda retains all the benefits of life, while enjoying mechanical durability, the processing power of a droid brain, and the functional immortality of synthetic consciousness.
(-) Machine Weakness:
Oda, despite being Mag-shielded, is an incredibly complex mechanical organism - ion and EMP attacks will not kill Oda, but can render him unconscious, slow down his processing, and interfere with his comms and data access systems.
Synthetic Consciousness
(+) Ascendent Mind:
With his life force enteched into the machinery and coding of the HRD, Oda is fully sentient, capable of feeling emotion, and is more or less functionally immortal in a manner similar to the organic Cylo. With his hyperspace transponder creating backups of Oda at regular intervals, should Oda die, a backup body will be activated and receive Oda's transmitted consciousness.
(-) Physical Hardware:
Oda is not invulnerable, and is fully capable of being killed in totality; should his body be destroyed, and his consciousness be transmitted without anything to download into (be it droid body, server, or nearby toaster) then he would dissipate and be lost forever.
