So...wookiee is very condescending...we all know this...but look at this:

Many swords, particularly after the creation of the lightsaber, were designed laced with or composed of exotic materials such as cortosis, phrik, or obsidian enabling the wielder to engage and block a lightsaber blade.

Apparently Obsidian can engage and block a lightsaber...but there are no other links showing it can...only this one part for Swords in general...I think it would be cool to allow Obsidian to block lightsabers.

This is not an Idea...just wanted to know what do I do with this information...ignore it?

I have a feeling, that is false info as there is nothing else to show that this is true.

Obsidian was originally added as a material nor normal swords in revision 2372403 along with Aurodium. It was shifted in revision 3755694, which appears to be a rewrite of much of the section. No sources were added at either point.

The Obsidian page itself doesn't have any reference of being lightsaber-resistant. Safe to assume obsidian is not resistant, whether it was a mistake or intentional on the part of the editor is unknown.

To be fair, the same discussion occurred regarding graphite and force pikes.

And now Echani Graphite is one of the best kept dirty secrets of the Factory.


Do some research, get creative, and try your hand at a unique, interesting, detail oriented sub with some cultural or historical significance.

Try to make it read like a wiki page.

And if it's interesting, makes sense, and fairly balanced... It may get approved.
