  • Force Imbued Talismans: The Obsidian Scorpion Armor is outfitted with a number of Talismans crafted by the Witches of Dathomir to ensure that the Vonduun Crab serves the wearer to the greatest possible ability.
    • Talisman Of Unity - The Talisman of Unity binds the mind of the host to the Vonduun Crab of their host, causing the armor to desire the protection and well-being of the Host over all things. The Crab will deliberately pour it's energy reserves into the attributes of the armor that benefit the wearer, while trying to minimize the drawbacks for as long as possible.
    • Talisman Of Hiding - The Armor is capable of utilizing a powerful spell that allows the armor to essentially transmute itself into a pair of bracers. These bracers are not removal but allow the armor to be hidden when it is not required. These bracers maintain some of the armor's defensive capability but are considerably weaker than when the armor is fully deployed.
  • Mirror Reflection Inserts: These inserts provide the armor with an advanced ability to dodge sensors and scanners, making it essentially invisible to most forms of detection.
STRENGTHS
  • Symbiotic Bond: The bond shared between the Vonduun Crab and it's host was designed to benefit the host. This alchemized crab will effectively make the wearer a greater threat in combat, while allowing them to draw on the power of the armor for a time to augment their capabilities.
  • Resistant: Even blasters & Lightsabers find it difficult to break through this armor. The reinforced shell is extremely difficult to break through without considerable effort or sustained assault.
  • System Purge: The Vonduun has tied it's metabolism to that of the wearer. If the wearer becomes infected with a dangerous toxin the Vonduun can set their metabolism to super-speeds and essentially burn the toxin out of their system.
  • Sensor Dodging: The Reflection inserts that were implanted in the armor make is very adept at staying off of sensors and scanners. The wearer will be virtually untraceable through conventional technological means.
WEAKNESSES
  • Electrical Current: Electricity and lightning are very destructive to the Vonduun Crab. A sustained current of electrical energy could grievously injure the armor to the point where it's abilities will no longer be able to benefit the wearer.
  • Temperature Control: The Vonduun crab is not capable to regulate it's body temperature. Therefore it provides no defense against hot or cold climate. When introduced to either extremes in climate the armor will no longer be able to provide internal augmentation to the wearer.
  • Drain: The Vonduun Crab uses the wearer as a source of energy. Therefore the wearer will experience raised rates of hunger, thirst, and sometimes needs for rest. When the armor is significantly damaged or harmed then it will begin to pull from the wearer's own energy reserves to facilitate its own recovery. This can lead to loss of energy from the wearer.
  • Baffor Tree Pollen: The pollen of the Bafforr tree is capable of killing the Vonduun Crab when administered in large doses. Death of the crab could severely affect the well-being of the wearer, perhaps even putting them on the brink of death themselves.
  • Removal: Removal of this armor is virtually impossible without killing the Crab and severe trauma to the wearer. The only two methods to effectively kill the armor and remove it are through extreme electroshock methods or by injecting it with large amounts of Baffor Tree Pollen, both of which will cause the Crab to draw on it's hosts body to try and fight off death.
DESCRIPTION
In the ancient times before the rise of the Galactic Republic, the Witches of Dathomir enjoyed a period of peace and relative prosperity in the studies of magic and the deepest paths that the Force could provide access to. In the height of their genius, or madness, they designed a special set of armor. Only one was ever made in the history of the galaxy.

It began when a strange ship crash landed in the depths of the Dathomirian swamps. A ship crafted of organic matter that the Witches mistook for a mutated native to the planet. Without knowing it, the Witches had been exposed to a ship of a fledgling Yuuzhan Vong. Those within the transport had all perished and even then they were an anomaly to the sense of the senior witches, for they had no impression in the Great Nether of magic that the witches had come to revere. Yet, there was one organism that survived the crash. A young creature known as a Vonduun Crab. The Nightsisters returned the crab to their coven to study it and learn of what use it could to them, In the end they found the organism was impressively suitable for a single task, augmentation to become a set of living armor.

The augmentation process took years. Years of filling the Vonduun with the darkest magics and runes that could be conjured. In the end the goal was simple. They wished to make the crab focus it's entire being to the defense of the wearer, who at the time was intended to be the current Dathomiri Nightmother. The Crab's mind would be linked to whoever bonded with the armor, as well as their biological systems. The armor would augment most of the wearer's biological functions so long as it provides adequate energy to the living creature it had formed the bond with. While the Crab was susceptible to the cold and heat, it was very well defended against energy based attacks & foreign toxins. Talismans were installed into the armor, allowing for a greater bond and more convenient ability to transport & wear the armor as once it was bonded it could not be removed without killing the Crab.

If you would be so kind here as to update your image credit link to THIS that would be greatly appreciated. We encourage everyone to try and avoid simply using Pinterest, Imgur or any other of a number of image hosting sites unless as a last resort. In this case, I was able to find the Artist's ArtStation profile with the image which will do better in the way of giving credit where it is deserved. Thank you.
