PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Oberon is tall and sleek, typical build for a Pau'an. He is bald with ghostly white skin and green eyes. He has forgone the traditional Jedi robes for simple armor over a pilots jumpsuit with the sleeves removed for ease of movement. The only visual clue to his Jedi training is his green lightsaber and the cloak he uses to conceal it on his waist opposite his blaster.

INVENTORY

-Green Bladed Lighstaber. The hilt is simple, a long orange copper handle, a small round black activator button. Carved just below the activator is a date: the date his master died and he decided to leave the order

-Blaster Pistol. A Standard DH-16 Blaster Pistol. It was a gift from a mercenary who Oberon saved during his time as a Jedi and holds sentimental value.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Oberon is compassionate, he believes in doing what's right, and moving all creatures towards the light. He comes across as stern and formal often, but a short conversation reveals his warmth and spirit.

Oberon is at a point of conflict in his beliefs. He grew up on the teachings of the Jedi and still hold many of them to be true, but he has left the order, unable to compromise on certain philosophies.

He is ambitious, seeking to learn as much as he can about the force and combat, even studies which the Jedi would not approve of. He holds great disdain for anyone who preys on the weak, and believes the Sith to be the biggest threat to the galaxy.

His greatest fear is that his strength and training will fail him or others like it had his Master before.

STRENGTHS

Force Empathy-
Oberon is naturally skilled with Force Empathy, being able to sense the emotional state of other creatures through the force. Surface emotions are sensed easily, while hidden or buried emotions require more focus, especially if the target is force sensitive.

Force Persuasion-
Oberon is proficient with force persuasion and is able to influence the emotions of those who aren't force sensitive or very mentally resilient.

-Makashi Warrior
Oberon is skilled in lightsaber combat, preferring to specialize in Form II- Makashi.

-Blaster Training
Oberon is proficient with blaster pistols. He is by no means a marksman, but he has practiced enough to be fairly accurate at close ranges.

WEAKNESSES

Impulsivity-
Oberon seeks to give himself to the Will of the Force when he feels its pull. This can lead to a quick of change of mind due to "a bad feeling."
Aside from this Obaren cannot help himself from intervening against evil or suffering, even if he is unprepared.

Naïveté-
Oberon's knowledge of the Galaxy was taught to him by the Jedi, and by diplomatic or rescue missions led to different planets. He is largely unaware of the darkness or evil in the universe besides the Sith or the occasional pirate warlord. He also seeks the good out in others, leaving his guard down until he has a reason to distrust someone.

Limited Combat Experience-
Oberon has been in a good amount of real fights but they have only been engagements versus the Sith or small groups of soldiers or pirates. Obaren has not faced many skilled opponents, and has faced even fewer that didn't wield a lightsaber like he did. He is unfamiliar with and unprepared for non-traditional weaponry and tactics such as explosives, flamethrowers, jetpacks, and other tools that may be employed by skilled combatants.

HISTORY

Oberon Saheel was born on (Utapau) 26 years ago. The child was left by their birth parents at an orphanage on the planet where they would live for the first 5 years of their life, with no knowledge of his birth parents. When Oberon was 5, shortly after his force sensitivity began manifesting he met a Jedi Master by the name of Petra Yuldani. Master Yuldani was there on behalf of a senator who asked for her help dealing with a pirate gang that had been terrorizing their planet. One of the pirates fled, taking the caretakers and children at the orphanage hostage. Master Yuldani entered to negotiate and began talking the criminal down, when she felt an influence on the force other than her. Oberon unknowingly was using the force to try and calm the pirate. The influence wasn't strong enough to make the warrior give up alone, but Master Yuldani added to it with a her skilled force persuasion, convincing the criminal to give himself up. After the encounter she spoke with Oberon and asked him if he'd like to train as a Jedi. Oberon agreed and was taken in by the Jedi. Oberon trained with other younglings for a few years until he was finally made Master Yuldani's Padawan.

Oberon learned many things from his Master, a Jedi consular who taught him the benefits of diplomacy over combat. Though she taught Oberon the lightsaber forms so that he could defend himself and others, her lessons were much more oriented towards communing with the force and lessons on history. As he grew older and saw first hand the chaos the Sith bring to the galaxy Oberon would seek to make himself stronger, spending his free time practicing with his saber, and researching the Sith. As time went on Oberon would begin to question the Jedi's methods more. He respected the orders goal to keep peace, but the Sith are a blight on the Galaxy and the Living Force that cannot exist in peace. The Jedi and Sith were at war, and the Jedi would win if they would forgo tradition and truly fight. If they would train the Jedi as lethal opponents, if they opened them self up to new and ancient applications of the force, if the Jedi learned to use deceit and espionage. He was told by his master and the council that his ideas were "un-Jedi-like" and that he was walking down a dangerous path. So Oberon buried these feeling and despite doubts from other Jedi he passed his knighthood trials. The years would pass and Oberon served the Jedi faithfully, he heeded his Masters lessons and learned to rely on wisdom and intellect. He used his saber only when others violence demanded it. The first time he would face off against a Sith would change him forever. Oberon's force empathy allowed him, forced him to feel the anguish, fear, and desperation of all the life that the Sith touched. Even the force itself he could feel recoiling against the monster as he bent it into his design. The Assasins power was great, greater than any foe he had faced, and Oberon would have been slain had he not been saved by another Jedi who stalled the Sith until guards arrived and caused the attacker to flee. Oberon realized that day that the sum of his teachings were no match for that dark side warrior. His obsession for training only grew. He began practicing to use blasters, something many of the other Jedi would criticize him for. He began practicing influence or control over others with the force. During sparring sessions he would often attempt to enter the mind of his Jedi opponents, a practice which made even more avoid him. He grew frustrated that the Jedi seemed to disapprove of his strengths and his ambition. They kept him from combat missions, sometimes sending less experienced Jedi than him. His disillusionment with the order hit its peak when his former master, Petra Yuldani was sent to settle a mining dispute that had become violent, a mission she never returned from. Slain by a Sith who had orchestrated the dispute. Oberon was racked with regret, that he could not be there to help his master, disappointment that the Jedi did not prepare her better, and anger that they learned nothing from her death. They still could not see what Oberon had. That the Jedi's righteousness, their political neutrality, their cautiousness, allowed for the Sith to exist. The Jedi forbade themselves from growing stronger because they didn't think their members could resist the dark side, but they could not know Oberon's willpower. So Oberon left the order, seeking to learn new ways to fight the Sith, to seek them out and kill them.
