Description: Roughly 1000 years ago, back when the Nyxai were at their height of power, twenty rings were forged for the most notable of members. Fifteen were crafted for those within the bloodline while five were given to their best allies. Every time one of the owners passed away their rings were either passed down to another worthy individual or sent to Dromand Kaas for storage. These days it's unknown how many are left. It is, however, known that at least six remain in the Nyxai family vault, buried beneath the rubble of their mansion on the old Imperial capitol. The rings themselves are fairly simple in design. Each one has the Nyxai family crest (in platinum) on the center of an oval made of electrum. When the crest portion is turned, however, a small spike pops out. Generally this was used for emergency situations where a surprise punch could be transformed into a surprise stabbing, or if a Nyxai had no other choice but to end their existence, in order to protect information. Putting the durasteel spike away is as simple as turning the crest back to it's original position.
