Born on Aruza, Nyaeli's life began as peaceful as any other of her species. Their society was extremely pacifistic in nature, and throughout history, their planet knew centuries without murder or other violent crimes. In this environment, the young woman developed into a kind-hearted spirit, but one with a lust for adventure and a desire to live life to the fullest. But early on in her peaceful existence, a deep connection to the Force was discovered, and this worried her parents and other members of her family, who believed great risk came with such a bond. So they decided to keep their daughter in the dark about what she was experiencing.
"Why... why did you keep this from me?"
For years, her abilities with the Force naturally developed but without any training, she could not control the power that flowed through her. Accidents and unintentional use of the Force grew more frequent, and so her parents finally decided to keep her out of school, and within the confinements of their own home, where they would teach their daughter about the Aruzan way of life.
"You could have saved them all."
But even peaceful societies were not immune to the violence of war. As the fires of the Second Great Hyperspace War spread throughout the Galaxy, soon its flames would reach Aruza as well. In the aftermath of the battle between
Valery Noble
and
Bendak Crail
on Aruzan ground, the wounded but victorious Jedi Master sought care from the Aruzan people, who helped this woman without realizing what evil this would bring to their planet.
"Fools, all of them. If they could have protected themselves... if they would have told me..."
For the assistance Nyaeli's parents offered to this Jedi, they were slain by cultists seeking revenge for the death of the Knight of Ren, and none of the Aruzan people even tried to interfere. All they did was watch, as the lives of two of their own were brutally taken from them. But in their deaths, a fury awakened in another, and with the Dark Side flowing through her Attani implant, she splintered the minds of all who watched and forced them to kill each other in their own state of insanity.
"Feeble minds... so easily shattered..."

"Can you hear the whispers?"
Following the Massacre of her village on Aruza, Nyaeli's fall to the Dark Side was complete, and with it, a great shift in her personality occurred. While she had been a joyful but somewhat timid girl in the past — especially after her parents kept her at home and her social interactions were limited — she has now been corrupted by a growing desire to break those who are weak. For it was the weakness of those who watched that caused those she cared about to die horrible deaths.
But without any training and all people in her village dead, a slow descent into crippling insanity has begun for her as well. Blinded by hatred and with a search for some kind of purpose in her life, she remains on Aruza until she discovers what she seeks.
"The voices, they will break you."

"Look into my eyes and you'll know fear."
At 5ft4, Nyaeli is physically as small as most of her species, and she was never trained to be a physical fighter either, so she lacks muscle compared to other Dark Jedi or Sith. But before her fall, she was considered to be a beautiful young woman with light-blue skin, long, dark-blue hair, and eyes that could look into your soul. Now tainted with a golden hue of corruption, they open the pathways into one's mind, and the hatred she carries in her demeanor bleeds out into anybody who dares look into them.
Behind her left ear, the Attani implant her people are known for is still present, but she has infused it with the dark side, allowing it to help her connect more easily with the minds of others, so she can manipulate, torture, or shatter them completely.

"The mind is a powerful weapon."
Nyaeli is not a physical fighter and has no training with alchemy or other types of Dark Side sorcery. But by twisting her Attani implant and using her species' natural skills with the mind, she now commands the Dark Side to spread fear, torture, and splinter the minds of those she attacks.
