Null 7
Character
NULL-7 "CINDER"
Age: 27
Species: Human (Wookieepedia)
Gender: Male
Height: 1.73 meters
Weight: 72 kilograms
Force Sensitive: Force-Dead (former untrained sensitive; severed via Kiev'ara siphon)
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Null-7 is a compact, wiry human built for endurance rather than brute strength. His frame bears the marks of extreme training: old blade scars, reinforced muscle density, and the rigid posture of someone conditioned to move with absolute control. His skin carries an ash-gray undertone, a lingering effect of Force severance, and his eyes are a dull, lifeless gray, ringed with faint vascular shadowing at the temples.
He carries himself with cold, deliberate precision. Every movement is economical, intentional, and quiet. In the field he wears LO-62C Commando Armor in a matte, non-reflective finish with muted teal trim. His helmet integrates a silent communications array and low-profile optics optimized for close-quarters hunting and low-light infiltration. There is nothing ornamental about him; Null-7 looks exactly like what he is meant to be: a weapon that learned to walk.
Null-7 does not believe in redemption. He believes in debt.
His worldview is shaped by the conviction that some failures cannot be forgiven, only worked against until the balance is corrected. Survival, to him, is not a blessing it is an obligation incurred. Every breath after Serenno added weight. Every commendation deepened the imbalance.
He does not seek death, but he does not fear it. Death is merely the point at which the ledger closes. Until then, there is work to be done. Null-7 speaks little, not out of secrecy, but because words feel indulgent. He prefers action, repetition, and discipline the steady grind of preparation and execution. Ritual matters to him: weapons cleaned the same way every time, routes walked twice, plans rehearsed until no uncertainty remains. These are not habits of comfort, but penance enacted through precision.
He rejects mercy as a concept that belongs to those who expect forgiveness. When he applies force, it is decisive and final not out of cruelty, but because prolonging violence feels dishonest. Fear is something to be burned away through exposure and repetition, not managed or discussed. He accepts command only because command allows him to absorb risk that would otherwise fall on others. He does not inspire through speeches. He leads by example, placing himself where the cost will be highest, and expecting his cell to follow because the path has already been walked.
Praise makes him uncomfortable. Commemoration unsettles him. The idea of being remembered runs counter to what he believes he deserves. If he has a faith, it is not spiritual. It is procedural. The belief that service, stripped of ego and hope, can still mean something if carried far enough downward.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Null-7 is detached, deliberate, and emotionally muted. He speaks rarely, and when he does his words are blunt, tactical, or edged with grim, dry sardonicism. He does not posture, threaten, or boast. He believes in results, not recognition.
What defines him is not cruelty, but choice. He volunteered for Force severance knowing exactly what would be lost. That act of willpower sits at the core of his identity. He does not resent the Force; he simply stepped away from it, permanently, to serve a purpose he deemed worth the cost.
He believes the mission matters more than the self, and that fear is something to be burned away rather than managed. Praise means nothing to him. Failure, however, is intolerable.
STRENGTHS
- Invisible in the Force: Null-7 cannot be sensed, anticipated, influenced, or tracked through the Force. Precognition, emotional reading, and aura detection simply fail against him.
- Unbreakable Resolve: Having already endured the erasure of his Force presence, Null-7 is exceptionally resistant to torture, intimidation, and psychological warfare. His clarity of purpose does not crack easily.
- Counter-Force Specialist: Extensively trained against Jedi and Sith combat doctrine, including lightsaber recovery exploitation, flash-blind assaults, null-field maneuvering, and coordinated team overwhelms.
- Adaptive Operative: Can function independently with minimal support, improvising infiltration routes, sabotage plans, and demolitions under hostile conditions.
- Elite Conditioning: Graduated through the Silent Blades, Hidden Flames program, making him one of the Lilaste Order's most refined anti-Force commandos.
- Linguistic Aptitude: Null-7 possesses a natural knack for learning new languages and dialects at an accelerated rate. Through exposure, pattern recognition, and contextual immersion, he can rapidly achieve functional proficiency in unfamiliar tongues, accents, and trade cant. This allows him to adapt quickly during undercover operations, intercept unencrypted communications, and operate in multi-species environments without reliance on translators. His aptitude extends to technical jargon and coded speech commonly used by criminal networks, smugglers, and paramilitary groups.
WEAKNESSES
- Medical Dependency: Null-7 cannot benefit from Force healing or augmentation and relies entirely on conventional medicine. Injuries take time and resources to recover from.
- Hollowed Identity: Force severance left him emotionally blunted. Under extreme stress, he can slip into dissociation or excessively mechanical brutality.
- Irreversible Transformation: The severance process is permanent. There is no cure, no reversal, and no second chance if the strain becomes too great.
- Void Detectability: Force-sensitives experienced with Force-dead operatives, or trained specifically to recognize them, may perceive the unnatural "absence" Null-7 represents.
- Physically Vulnerable: While immune to many Force effects, physically manifested Force attacks such as lightning, telekinetic impact, or environmental manipulation still affect him normally.

Cinder was born in the Mid Rim territories before they came under the Lilaste Order's influence. Like many Order soldiers, his early life was defined by service rather than aspiration. He entered the line corps young and proved himself in routine infantry campaigns, where discipline, endurance, and a willingness to shoulder burdens others could not marked him for advancement. He was not known for brilliance, but for reliability under strain.
His record changed during the Battle of Serenno.
Assigned to a forward infantry element during a Diarchy ground engagement, Cinder's unit encountered Sith-aligned forces during a sudden escalation. The engagement ceased to resemble conventional combat when a Sith Lord entered the battlespace. Fireteams collapsed in seconds. Terrain, cover, and doctrine became irrelevant.
Cinder survived.
Recovery teams found him hours later amid the remains of his squad, alive and physically unharmed. With no surviving witnesses and no evidence of retreat or flight, the Order concluded that his survival was the result of exceptional composure, concealment discipline, and battlefield judgment under Force-dominant threat conditions. His name was quietly circulated as proof that Order infantry could still endure in the presence of the Force.
Cinder did not dispute the assessment.
Privately, he knew the truth. When the Sith descended upon his unit, he froze. He did not reposition, counterattack, or attempt extraction. He pressed himself into cover and remained still while his squad was destroyed around him. He survived not through skill, but through fear rendered motionless and unnoticed.
The Order believed he had earned his survival. Cinder believed he had failed them.
That belief hardened into debt.
When the Commando Program was announced, he was hand-selected and given a choice: remain in the line corps or accept a path that would cost him his name, his anonymity, and eventually the Force itself. To the Order, the offer was recognition. To Cinder, it was an opportunity to repay something he believed he owed.
He accepted without hesitation.
Training reduced him to nothing and rebuilt him into something colder. The Silent Blades, Hidden Flames regimen subjected him to legacy trials, deprivation cycles, live-blade sparring, and survival gauntlets across hostile climates. Each phase was designed to force decision where hesitation once lived. He endured the training not to distinguish himself, but to make the Order's faith in him true rather than assumed.
Force severance was conducted at Kiev'ara. He volunteered fully informed of the permanence of the procedure. The Order recorded the act as devotion. Cinder accepted it as atonement. If the Force had reduced him to inaction once, then it would never again be allowed a place within him.
The severance succeeded. He emerged Force-dead and irrevocably changed.
From that point forward, he operated as a void asset within Diarchy-controlled space. His missions included deep-strike raids against pirate fortresses, dismantling smuggling networks along major trade routes, and precision sabotage against separatist militias. During a classified operation on Dantooine, he led the arrest of Jedi operatives tied to a suspected sentient smuggling ring later traced to New Jedi Order coordination.
His official record was erased for deniability. Within the Commando Corps, however, his legacy remains intact. Recruits are still taught about the first void operatives, soldiers who willingly surrendered the Force to become unseen blades in the dark.
Cinder stands among them not as a hero, but as proof that devotion taken far enough can hollow a man into something far more dangerous. He does not believe his debt has been paid. He does not expect it ever will be.
