Now For Your Regularly Scheduled Crashed Landing

Public transportation was a novel thing, at least to Anara. Yes, she has a ship of her own and it is in perfect working order, but does that mean she has to always travel in it? Sometimes it is nice to leave the work to others and simply enjoy the ride.

Lounging in her seat, Anara lazily flipped to the next chapter of her book. The first class cabin she was seated in with the other 'wealthy' passengers was lavish compared to the other sections upon the vessel, but not ridiculously so. Ample leg room and space between seats was really the main luxury that had caught her interest when making her travel arrangements.

Comfort was everything and credits of no consequence, especially for someone with Anara's skill set.

Absently she thought to order a drink, something with a slight burn to it. Lifting her feral gaze from her book Anara shifted in her seat, her piercing gaze easily catching the attention of an attendant. Her lips curved upward in a slight smile, the attendants reaction to her simple gaze amusing.

Were her eyes really so frightening?

Smiling to herself at the discomfort of the Twi'lek she ordered a drink, her eyes returning to her book a moment later. She needed to travel like this more often, it was far more fun than piloting her own ship ever had been.

Oka was scheduled to guard a first class cabin in a ship full of luxury. The job was simple but dangerous. The first class people were always the main targets, at least in Oka's life. He heard of [member="Anara Valnor"]. She seemed to be the most important from what he read. He walked through the aisle leading to the front of the cabin. Oka wore white robes with white cloaks along with a mask. He just stood there hands to the side. Finding this woman shouldn't be too hard, he thought.

Drink in hand she leisurely sipped at the concoction, surprised by the fizzy start and deep sensual burn that followed every swallow. She'd have to be sure to ask the attendant what the drink was before she exited the ship.

Focused intently upon her book Anara didn't pay any mind to the guard walking the first class cabin. Why would she? More than capable of taking care of herself Anara didn't seem to have a care in the world, what bother could one little pristine guard be if he chose to bother her?

Time elapsed and he still couldn't pick who was Anara. One woman just sat there and read a book. Flipping pages, drinking something she appeared to like, and ignoring her surroundings. He decided it was time to go see what she was reading. Oka walked up beside her seat and knelt down to talk. "May I ask what you're reading ma'am?" he asked.

Feral eyes never shifted from her book as she continued to read, but the Sith Lord did shift her hold upon the book in order to show the man the cover. Her eyes moved rapidly and only when she finished the current chapter she was reading did Anara turn her gaze upon the man.

He was garbed all in white, a mask hiding his face. His attired was peculiar and she wondered absently if it were standard practice for such vessels to have guards dressed as him.

Deciding to check into the matter later she instead focused upon his question, her expression bored.

"Just a trashy romance novel...Something to pass the time," she murmured with a smile that bellied her innocent tone.

The ship's destination was unknown to him although he could just ask where it was head. "Oh. I suppose there are better things to read in this galaxy." he paused looking at her, not the book from under the mask. "Ma'am, you know where this ship is headed?" he asked standing back up.

"And there are worse," she replied as she closed her book, marking the page by folding the corner. She looked away for a moment, contemplative, before finally turning back to the guard.

"Corellia? I didn't pay the destination any mind when I boarded," she replied with a grin, a mischievous gleam in her eyes as she regarded the guard. She opened her mouth to speak, but an odd tremor rolled through the ship, giving her pause. Amber orbs narrowed slightly and she shifted in her seat, sitting up a bit more.

The souls within her grew ominously quiet, their whisperings oddly distorted. They'd never tried to hide anything from her before and for the first time she wished they were screaming, tearing at her sanity. Their near silence did not sit well with her.

Another tremor shook the ship, stronger than the last, and the voices hissed causing her to rise to her feet. Something was extremely wrong. Without a word she slipped by the man, intent to reach the pilots, whether the crew liked it or not.

"Yea. I guess so." he said listening to her next reply. Corellia was okay at this point and time Oka thought. Without him being able to say anything, the ship shook or something which made Oka think an attack was going down but he was always thinking the worst when he guarded. Then, it shook a second time. Stronger and the woman swiftly went towards the cockpit. He followed knowing that probably wasn't going to end well.
