I know there are at least a couple of novel writers on the site, including myself. We all should advertise our work to our fellow writers, even if only to get them to read it and critique.

My Books

I know my website hasn't been updated in a while. I plan to change that and am working on an idea for a serial for the site, too.

Written a few, haven't sold one yet. I'll get there.

My current project is a blue-collar Lovecraftian Men in Black thing. 15,000 words so far, much pulpier and less serious than I've usually written. Goal is 80k.

I have a 100k+ word manuscript that I abandoned after finishing it, I may go back and redo it sometime, but I don't feel any major need to. I'm currently working on a cyberpunk-ish crime novel that's over 60k words (hoping to keep it under 100k this time) and I'm plotting out two other novels, one more action/adventure and another more literary fiction that is going to be an exercise with Scrivener. I've also got a few short stories, and I think I'm gonna go for getting one published before the summer ends.

Once I’ve fixed part 1 and completed part 2, although it’s a single book on Movellas, when I publish it on Smashwords by the end of the year, Part 1 and 2 will be published as separate books. Then part 3, 4 and 5 will be written and published as separate books in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

I like your website Brad. Your book ideas are good too. I think perhaps I should try and find some time to read them, or at least some of them. Looks like you have something good going with your writing— something I’m trying to establish with my own. I guess one needs patience...

It takes a lot of patience and perserverence. I still struggle with motivation at times.

I’ve generally ok with the motivational factor of things. At least with my KnM Blade of things. Just being patient sucks. I hate that but have to make myself be patient. My writing skills have improved a lot but to write well it takes me a while. I refuse to however take shortcuts because that will then result me into having to re-write things. Like in my case having to rewrite the first 7 chapters of KnM Blade in Destiny’s way. (I’ve already done the first 5, and this wasn’t cause I rushed them originally but rather cos when I started writing it around 2.5 years ago, my writing skills were crap). But still patience. It took me 2 weeks to for example fix chapter 5.... grrrrrr yeah that’s how slow I am, but if you compare the original version to the fixed, the difference in quality is huge. And of course in having to fix things, it delays the progress of new chapters and material...

I planned to finally take on Lonesome Dove when I finish my current book (Theodore Rex by Edmund Morris), but I may squeeze your sequel in first since Lonesome Dove is going to take a while given my busy work schedule and lack of free time.

I've actually been working on a few novel ideas myself. All ranging from sci-fi to fantasy. I've had better luck writing down the histories and backstories and so forth than I have the actual novels however lol
