Corporation Name: Nova-Tech
Headquarters: Torolis
Locations:
Operations:

The original founders of the new Nova-Tech wanted to take the company down the same path as its ancient predecessor and exclusively make power armor. However, since Ethan's takeover the company has been steered in the direction to expand into other realms such as cybernetics, security technologies, cybernetic-warfare, Artificial Intelligence, Mechanized Exo-Suits and "Smart" Technologies. Unlike many other companies, Nova-Tech will have a heavy emphasis on making both open-market and exclusive technologies as well as making both military and civilian variants of their technology for maximum income.

The company also has aspirations to create company owned cities devoted to their technologies and used as tourist traps and employee housing to help further their economic gain by collecting taxes and expenses of living costs from those who live there on top of income from tourists.

Rationale:

By the end of his university schooling, Ethan found himself with a master degree in business and a PhD in Technology. By this time his father had died of an advanced form of stomach cancer and his mother had fallen ill. His sister, however, found herself working in the security field as a VIP security specialist. Ethan stayed on Corellia until his mother passed away and then set out into the galaxy to make his own fortune.

Ethan left Corellia for Alderaan and found himself a small job at an upstart swoopbike company and assisted them in the creations of new designs and gave them financial advice and dealt with most of their accounts. The years following saw him leaving one cozy job for another across the galaxy, slowly building his name and experience. In recent times, Ethan stumbled upon yet another upstarting company that was building upon the legacy of an ancient corporation called Nova-Tech. This new company promised to be the first in powersuit technology and that struck Ethan as a highly profitable opportunity. Leaving a much higher paying job, Ethan approached the company and was hired on to be their Chief Financial Officer and was appointed to the board of executives.

He served on the board for two years and became angered with the lack of progress the company was making outside of a single system, being more of a mom and pop shop rather than a company deserving of a board of executives. He wanted to take control and so he began to secretly steer the small companies fragile economic state into the dumps with small hints of bad advice and investments. Quickly the company began to lose money and in the panic, Ethan suggested they take the company public in order to try and salvage what they could. The panic had set in and the ill experienced executives agreed in paranoia, taking the company public the following year. As soon as the shares went public, Ethan bought over eighty percent of them and took majority control of the company. With his position as owner secure, he made himself CEO and fired the board of executives. He now works to turn Nova-Tech into a respectable company recognized throughout the galaxy.

Tier: 1

Description:

Nova-Tech is a small company that is currently trying to bust out of its local shell on Torolis and make the galactic scene. The company started out as a handful of multi-species dreamers who wished to rebuild the legacy of Nova-Tech and revolutionize the Power Armor industry. They started out in a small workshop on the Bothan colony and started out making powercells for use by other companies in their power armor before creating their own, limited use variant that only saw use by a small mining team on-planet. However, this small sale allowed them the resources they needed to open up a few small shops on the colony and hire a few employees.

Now, under Ethan's rule, the company has begun to double its efforts of expansion and open up new horizons on other worlds and their first move to accomplish this is to attempt to become a small-time member of the Techno Union.
