Description:
NoTrace is a special bracelet designed with stealth and infiltration in mind. When activated, NoTrace projects a skintight electromagnetic sheath around the wearer that scrambles their bio signature and energy omissions. This effectively masks the wearer’s thermal, infrared and sonic signatures from sensors and renders them essentially invisible on most active and passive sensors and scanners. The built in stealth field generator allows the wearer to easily become invisible to the naked eye at medium and long distances, though an individual untrained in the ways of stealth could be detected at close range. A skilled wearer can effectively maintain their stealth field while running, but an inexperienced wearer could easily give themselves away visibly while running.
In order to help against detection via trained Force sensitives, there is a small amount of Force imbuement in each bracelet that shrinks the presence of the wearer in the Force. However, only Apprentice or equivalent level PCs will be unable to detect the presence in the Force—Knights and Masters will easily be able to detect the wearer’s presence via the Force.
Most sorts of sensors, scanners and communication devices on the wearer will be scrambled by the activated bracelet and will become essentially useless until the bracelet is deactivated. The bracelet can be made active or inactive via a small switch on the inside of the bracelet.
