Zandra Tal'verda
Lady Luck
Coruscant
Happy. That was how the Echani felt. Happy. She swirled her drink with a smile. For once, she had stayed away from gambling. She didn't need the rush she got from the luck of the draw to fill the hole right now. She had something better. She had hope. Hope, and something she didn't yet have a name for. For right now, she was calling it 'Calico'. A temporary name, of course, until she could talk to someone wiser than her to explain it and name the feeling for her.
He wasn't around right now. Off to do some war stuff. She didn't expect to see him again for a while, but after that night... Maybe?
Well, she had hope. That was enough. It was more than she had for a long time.
Zandra stretched and yawned just as the next band was announced. Some local group, just starting out. Every so often this cantina had an open mic night, and every so often, Zandra would come in to see a show. This band she had seen several times, but they never seemed to get it together. Something was always missing. She was so musician, but even Zandra could tell when a sound wasn't right. Still, she enjoyed them, even if they weren't the best group. They had personality, a unique sound. And they were trying. Zandra could appreciate that.
Despite the rotten state the planet was in, places like this, where creative minds could gather and mingle, flourished. Artists, musicians, poets, writers... There were all types here. Nothing could crush this spirit. Nothing at all. It was why Zandra stayed. She had her ship. She could go anywhere, but why would she? She had already found paradise.
